Troubleshooting Basics
Common Questions/Problems/Resolutions App uploads failing Typically applicable for Enterprise Apps Possible Reasons App is built with an expired provisioning profile MaaS360 displays error App does not define the app name, bundle name, executable name Apps need to follow Apple App Development Guidelines 16
Common Questions/Problems/Resolutions App distribution is not working Possible Reasons Network communication errors since the app catalog is a URL (see earlier slides) Market or App Store installs are blocked by policy Manage -> Manage Device Policies -> Restrictions We use the App Store and the Market for public apps so this cannot be shut off via policy Try to disable wifi if the device is connected to a wifi connection in parallel 17
Common Questions/Problems/Resolutions > App Catalog does not install Possible Reasons: APNS Message does not reach the device The device is not relevant for any app The device is re-enrolled and has all apps installed > App Status does not update on the App Catalog Possible Reasons: SW Inventory is run after every app install SW Inventory still running & data being uploaded to MaaS360 Takes upto 10 mins for status to refresh On uninstall of app, takes 12 hours for status to refresh Run manual S/W Inventory Refresh if status needs to change 18
