How to Install VMware Horizon Client To Access your application from home, please download the client and configure using the following steps. 1. Go to your browser and type in myapps.swgas.com myapps.swgas.com 2. Login with your User ID (example: xyz1) Secure https://myapps.swgas.com Please log into access 3. Click on VMware View Client 2
4. Security Alert window may or may not open, if it opens a. Click Yes 5. On the "Download VMware Horizon Client screen, under the Product section, a. Locate product "VMware Horizon Client for Windows b. Click "Go to Downloads Note: Mac users (including IPad), select Go to Downloads under Mac 3
Note: Windows 10 users, select Go to Downloads under Windows 10 6. Click the arrow and select 4.4. Please make sure that you do not skip this step! 7. Under Product/Details, locate The VMware Horizon Clients for Windows a. Click Download (Windows users) Or The VMware Horizon client for macos (Mac users) Or The VMware Horizon client for Windows 10 UWP (Windows 10 users) 4
8. Click "Run" to run the installer. On the bottom of your page, the message "Do you want to run or save VMware-Horizon-Client...?" (note: the current version will always show, version number may be different from below example) a. Once download is complete, click Run to run the installer 9. The VMware Horizon Client Setup window will open to the VMWARE END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT a. Select I Agree & Install 10. Click Finish 5
11. Click Yes 12. Your system will auto close, and restart (the restart can take a few minutes). Once your system restarts, locate the following VMware Horizon shortcut icon on your desktop. a. Top open, double click on the VMware Horizon Client desktop icon. 13. The New Server window will open a. Click New Server b. Under Enter the name of the Connection Server i. Type myapps.swgas.com c. Click Connect myapps.swgas.com myapps.swgas.co m 6
14. Login using your current SWG User ID and Password https://myapps.swgas.com 15. At the top of the VMware Horizon Client window a. Select the Settings button on the top right corner to set the preferred protocol. myapps.swgas.com 16. To set the Preferred Protocol (Skip this step if you don t see the option for VMware Blast) a. Click on Applications b. Then next to Preferred protocol, click on the dropdown list c. Select VMware Blast d. Click Allow display scaling, and Ask to reconnect to open applications e. To complete the process, click OK 7
17. To access your folders on your local drive, you will need to: a. Select Sharing b. Click on Add c. Click on the C: drive d. Select the following check boxes: i. Share your local files User ii. Allow access to removable storage iii. Do not show dialog when connecting to a desktop or application iv. Open Local files in hosted application e. Click OK f. Click Apply g. To complete the process, click OK 8
