Modbus ommunication Interface Module (IM) This module, required for connection to the network, contains the Modbus address (1 to 99) declared by the user using the two rotary switches on the front of the unit. It automatically adapts (baud rate, parity) to the Modbus network in which it is installed. Low Voltage urrent Transformer (LVT) The Powerlogic LVTxxx series of 1 and 0.333 volt split-core current transducers provide secondary voltage proportional to the primary (sensed) current. Micrologic The family of electronic trip systems available on molded case circuit breakers, insulated case circuit breakers, and low-voltage power circuit breakers MXI One Schneider lectric version of a shunt trip. I-Line Smart ell Installation N999570 I-Line Smart ell Installation 11/2015 NLIS I-Line Smart ell Installation NOTI ZR O IMPROPR PLU ON ONNTION o not adjust jaws o not remove joint compound (if applied) ailure to follow these instructions can result in equipment damage. Refer to igure 1 for the following instructions: 1. Turn off all power to the panelboard. 2. Remove the deadfront and interior trim barrier. 3. Turn the fused disconnect to the O position. Position the jaws against the bus bar stack () so that the guiding boss on the bottom of the I-Line Smart ell is oriented towards the alignment groove in the bus insulator base, and the mounting guides of the I-Line Smart ell base fit into the keyslots in the pan. 4. Place long-shanked screwdriver through the rectangular holes in the I-Line Smart ell base and into the screwdriver slot in the mounting pan (). Ratchet the I-Line Smart ell firmly into the bus bar stack () and align the retaining screw with the 0.219 (5.6mm) mounting hole in the pan. 5. Tighten the retaining screw securely () to prevent the I-Line Smart ell from moving. NOT: nsure the retaining screw is tight, but do not tighten it enough to bend the mounting base. igure 1: I-Line Installation 6. Reinstall the deadfront and interior trim barrier. 7. or I-Line Smart ell units that utilize power connections from the LIN side of the main circuit breaker (refer to circuit breaker manufacturing documentation), attach the NR Remote Power label to the interior trim barrier. 8. NOT: Refer to the instructions provided with the circuit breaker and/or trip unit for details. Refer to installation instructions igure 1 for I-Line Smart ell mechanical mounting details [red=positive(+) / black=negative (-)]. 2. onnect the R45 ULP cable from the Micrologic trip unit to the R45 connector labeled "ULP" located on the accessory panel of the I-Line Smart ell. 3. Turn off all power supplying this equipment before working on or inside equipment. Remove I-Line Smart ell from equipment prior to removing covers. 2. Refer to Table 9 for necessary components to install additional IMs to I-Line Smart ell. NOT: Not all I-Line Smart ells can add IMs. 3. Remove top and side covers by removing the 14 screws identified in igure 7 using a #2 Phillips head screwdriver. 4. Remove IN mounted spacers (M27062) two spacers equals the same width of one IM. 5. Install stacking accessory (TRV00217) to IN rail as shown in steps 1 and 2 of igure 8. 6. Remove cover from bottom of IM unit as shown in step 3 of igure 8. 7. Place IM onto installed stacking accessory and IN rail, as shown in steps 5, 6, and 7 of igure 8. 8. Repeat steps 4 through 7, above, for multiple IM installations. 9. Install thernet patch cable to IM R45 port (refer to igure 9). 10. Install ULP line terminator (TRV00880) in other R45 port (refer to igure 9). Remove appropriate tab (refer to igure 6 for factory locations) from accessory panel and install in-line R45/R45 coupler (Tyco# 2111122-1). 12. onnect the other end of the thernet patch cable from step 9 to the R45/R45 coupler. 13. Replace top and side covers using #8-32 x 3/8 inch long screws as shown in igure 7. 14. djust the IM Modbus address as shown in igure 6. 15. Unit is now ready to install for multiple circuit breakers according to ommunications Package ccessory and ontrol Wiring on page 5. 16. Turn off all power supplying this equipment before working on or inside equipment. 2. When connecting two communication I-Line Smart ells, they will utilize an RS-485 connection type. 3. When connecting two I-Line Smart ell (I Smart ells and IM only I-Line Smart ell), connect using a standard RS-485 able (i.e. elden 9841), such as shown in igure 10. Refer to ppendix for additional wiring schemes. 4. If the connection is between an I-Line Smart ell and any other gateway or Modbus equipment, the receiving components should be capable of accepting an RS485 onnections. 5.
