CP_PROPS Parameter ID: 0x80A0 This parameter is used to get a description of a User defined parameter. Controller: CLAY PAKY USER DEFINED PIDS (Port ID) (Message Count) (SubDevice) 0x00-0xFF 0x00 0x0000 (Root) or 0x0001-0x000 or 0xFFFF (CC) (PID) (PDL) GET_COMMAND CP_PROPS 0X01 User defined parameter ID (1 bit) String Offset (1 bit) (PD) Response: (Response Type) (Message Count) (SubDevice) ACK 0x00-0xFF Copy of Controller SD (CC) (PID) (PDL) GET_COMMAND _RESPONSE CP_PROPS 3 35 (3 + Number of characters sent) User defined parameter ID (1 bit) Type Minimim Value (1 bit) Maximum Value (1 bit) Text label descriptions (PD) 7 Continue

Data Description: User defined parameter ID (1 bit): The requested parameter ID listed in the ClayPaky User Parameters Table. Type: Type is an 8-bit value that defines the type of data that is contained in the response. Type Values descpription Table: TYPE VALUE DESCRIPTION Unsigned Integer 8 Bit 0 Values from 0 to 55 Unsigned Integer 1 Bit 1 Values from 0 to 5535 Unsigned Integer 3 Bit Values from 0 to 3-1 Signed Integer 8 Bit 3 Values from -18 to 17 Signed Integer 1 Bit 4 Values from -3.78 to 3.77 Signed Integer 3 Bit 5 Values from -31 to 31-1 On/Off Value 0 = On, 1 = Off Enum 7 String values with associated text Minimum Value: This is a s compliment signed 1-bit value that represents the lowest value that the User parameter can assume. Maximum Value: This is a s compliment signed 1-bit value that represents the highest value that the User parameter can assume. Text label Description: This field is requested only for Enum types. A series of zero separated ASCII strings describe each value of the parameter. The field is filled with text description values until there is space available in the PD. The Controller must check the number of descriptions returned, and if it had received less than expected (max-min +1), it should resend the command by storing, in the field "String offset", the text description index from which to start. This operation must be repeated until all the text description have been received. Example of an Enum parameter with a range of 0-1: 0 = Limited range 1 = Full range. The Text label description field is filled as following: Limited range + chr(0) + Full range + chr(0). String Offset: This field is used in the event of multiple requests when there is not enough space to store all the description values in the PD. At the first request, the field must be set to zero. Subsequent requests must be set with the offset(index) of the description to start with. 8
