This will double to 1.5 TB when 64 GB LRDIMMs are available in the future. RAID card is fitted to dedicated slotless RAID slot. The standard system can hold 8x 2.5-inch HS HDDs in the front. Capacity can be doubled with front 8x 2.5-inch HDD expansion option fitted. IBM is a registered trademark of International Business Machines Corporation 6

Capacity can be further increased with rear 2x 2.5-inch HDD kit + RAID card options fitted, to give maximum 18x 2.5-inch HDDs. Maximum capacity is based on installation of 18x 1.2 TB HS SSD with both front 8x 2.5-inch HDD expansion and rear 2x 2.5-inch HDD kit + RAID card options fitted. Important note: When 2x 2.5-inch HDD kit + RAID card options are fitted, it is not possible to add further PCI-E cards via Riser card 1. For the latest information on supported HDD options, visit http://www.ibm.com/servers/eserver/serverproven/compat/us/ 5 6 7 8 9 10 Standard models have 1x vertical PCI-E slots as standard when 1x processor is fitted plus 1x dedicated slotless RAID slot. With 1x processor fitted, up to 4x PCI-E slots are possible when an optional Riser card 1 is fitted; this adds a further two or three slots: 1x PCI-E Gen3 x16 FH/FL plus 1x PCI-E Gen3 x8 FH/HL OR 1x PCI-E Gen3 x16 FH/FL plus 1x ML2 OR 2x PCI-E Gen3 x8 FH/FL plus 1x PCI-E Gen3 x8 FH/HL OR 2x PCI-E Gen3 x8 FH/FL plus 1x ML2 Important note: When PCI-E cards via Riser card 1 are fitted it is not possible to add 2x 2.5-inch HDD kit + RAID card options. Fitting 2x processors provides 2x vertical PCI-E slots as standard. With 2x processors fitted up to 8x PCI-E slots are possible when optional Riser card 1 6 PLUS Riser card 2 are fitted. Riser card 2 adds a further 2 or 3 slots: 1x PCI-E Gen3 x16 FH/FL plus 1x PCI-E Gen3 x8 FH/HL OR 2x PCI-E Gen3 x8 FH/FL plus 1x PCI-E Gen3 x8 FH/HL 1x 10/40Gb Mezz LAN card ML2 can be fitted via optional Riser card 1 only. Advanced LCD Lightpath module fitted to front. 11 Support for maximum 2x 300 W GPUs (PSU and CPU dependencies exist) The x16 FH/FL Riser card 1 6 or Riser card 2 8 are needed. GPU configurations are currently via CTO only. You can obtain the agreement by contacting your IBM representative or visiting http://www.ibm.com/servers/support/machine_warranties/machine_code.html Machine using LMC Type Model xxxx-xxx Access to Machine Code updates is conditioned on entitlement and license validation in accordance with IBM policy and practice. IBM Electronic Services IBM has transformed its delivery of hardware and software support services to help you achieve higher system availability. Electronic Services is a web-enabled solution that offers an exclusive, no-additional-charge enhancement to the service and support available for IBM servers. These services are designed to provide the opportunity for greater system availability with faster problem resolution and preemptive monitoring. Electronic Services comprises two separate, but complementary, elements: Electronic Services news page and Electronic Services Agent. The Electronic Services news page is a single Internet entry point that replaces the multiple entry points traditionally used to access IBM Internet services and support. The news page enables you to gain easier access to IBM resources for assistance in resolving technical problems. The Electronic Service Agent TM is no-additional-charge software that resides on your server. It monitors events and transmits system inventory information to IBM on a periodic, client-defined timetable. The Electronic Service Agent automatically reports hardware problems to IBM. Early knowledge about potential problems enables IBM to deliver proactive service that may result in higher system availability and performance. In addition, information collected through the Service Agent is made available to IBM service support representatives when they help answer your questions or diagnose problems. Installation and use of IBM Electronic Service Agent for problem reporting enables IBM to provide better support and service for your IBM server.
