Introduction: The Email and banking information tool allows registered providers to create or modify their EFT banking information that is provided to TELUS Health. The tool also includes the ability to modify the primary contact email address for banking related communications. Direct deposit is supported as a reimbursement method by participating insurance companies. We invite registered users to view their current registration and update this information if desired with the banking details and email address to be able to experience the convenience of receiving reimbursements directly into their bank accounts. After successful login to the TELUS Health Provider Portal, the Home page will provide you with access to the Email and banking information. Simply click on the Email and banking information link to open the application. Figure 1: My Profile Your request will be sent to the TELUS Health to be reviewed by our team. Email and banking information Once you click on the Email and banking information link from the TELUS Health Provider Portal Home page, you will be presented with the Email and banking information page. The Email and banking information page has two columns: Left column: Banking account information Right column: Profile information, contact information including email address for banking correspondence, and location. Multiple locations and associate providers lists are also located in the right column when applicable. The page provides tool tip text to further explain concepts or instructions when editing account information see Figure 3). The user can proceed with the following: Edit the banking information Add banking information Edit the email address If you already have EFT information or email address registered with TELUS Health, the page will be presented to you in View mode. If the information is accurate, you can leave the page by clicking on any Portal link. If the information requires modification, click on the Edit (pencil icon) button and your page will be refreshed in Entry mode. For specific provider user groups, the page will display the Provider name, Provider ID, Contact Email and banking information for the default account only. July 2015 Direct Deposit User Guide 5

1. No registered banking information account If you have no EFT information registered with TELUS Health, the page will be presented to you in View mode with the Add account button and tool tip text specific to the case where there are no registered accounts. Figure 5: Current profile tool tip prior to adding an account 2. Edit email The user can update (or add if none entered) the email address used for banking correspondence. The user can click the Edit (pencil) icon. The page switches to Edit mode. The account editing buttons are hidden to prevent user or system errors. 3. Update bank account information 3.1 Add a bank account Clicking the Add account button adds a new account section to the bottom of the column. Available account types are listed next to radio buttons. The user has to select one of the presented account types. A maximum of three bank accounts are available to the user (based on provider s services): Banking Details: WSIB. This section is only applicable to Healthcare Providers who are registered to access the WSIB electronic services. Banking Details: eclaims. This section is applicable to all provinces. The eclaims product allows Allied Healthcare professionals to submit electronic Extended Healthcare claims to participating Private Insurance companies. Complete this section if you are registered for access to the eclaims service. Banking Details: Default account. This section is applicable as the account that you want all insurers receiving your banking details to use for all transactions. Figure 7: Add account Field name Description Available options are presented to the user. A radio button is used to select the account. This is a mandatory field and requires 5 numeric values. Field name Description This is a mandatory field. Tool tip text (next to Edit profile) Tool tip text (next to Default account) Cheque image sample (next to Transit number) This is a mandatory field. We require that you provide an image of a void cheque for your security. Your request will not be processed if a void cheque is not uploaded. The uploaded image must be restricted to a maximum size of 1 MB. When the file name appears in this field, it will be a hyperlink. Click on the link to view the contents of the image. The Browse button will open a window to your local directory so that you can navigate to the appropriate folder where your image is stored. We will support uploading of images stored in the following file types;.pdf,.doc,.docx,.jpg,.gif,.bmp and.png The file name of the image being uploaded cannot contain any special characters. Please restrict your naming convention to alphanumeric characters only. Note: All uploads will be subject to a virus scan. By clicking on this icon, you can remove the uploaded image. This button will allow you to submit your banking information. Once you click this button, the data you entered will be validated to ensure accuracy and completeness. If the system detects an error, notified notification will be displayed in the top left corner of the page. The Cancel button will allow you to end this process. No changes are saved you are brought back to the read-only Email and banking information page. By clicking on this pencil button, the page will refresh and be presented in Entry mode. 3.2 Account added When the user clicks Submit, the account box will display latest changes and will be presented in View mode. The user can edit the account information by clicking the edit icon. In editing mode, the account number will be hidden and a new void cheque upload is required. Figure 8: Account added July 2015 Direct Deposit User Guide 11
4. Add second bank account When the user clicks the Add account button, the system adds a new bank account input box below the existing account box(s). The user can cancel this operation by clicking the Cancel button. The system prompts the user to select from the available account options. The example below displays eclaims or WSIB. If there is only one available option, the Account type defaults to that option (no radio buttons presented). The Edit buttons for all other account box(es) and the email address are disabled. 4.2 Account update accepted Once all of the account updates have been accepted, the page is unlocked and the user can edit all accounts. Figure 10: Two active accounts 4.3 Account deletion There is no option to delete an account. The user must call TELUS to perform this operation. The contact phone number is presented in the Current profile tool tip (? icon). July 2015 Direct Deposit User Guide 13
5. Edit and cancel a bank account 5.1 Edit an account The user can edit any account by selecting the edit (pencil icon) button. The selected account box transitions to edit mode. In editing mode, the account number will be hidden and a new void cheque upload is required. Figure 11: Edit account 5.2 Cancel an account The user can cancel the edit operation by clicking the Cancel button. There are two cancellation scenarios: 1) When changing a current account Ex. the previous account is on file the previous account information will be reinstated to the profile 2) When there is no previous account Ex. a new account profile the information is deleted and the account profile will be cleared from the screen. 6. Add a third bank account We allow for a maximum of three bank accounts. The system uses the first and second account types as a precondition to determine the third account type. Ex. the user has selected Default for the first account, eclaims for the second account, so by default, the 3 rd account type will be WSIB. 7. Associate providers A complete list of associate providers is presented in a new section at the bottom of the right column. This list is presented when applicable, typically for a clinic. Figure 13: Associate providers 8. Multiple locations An individual practitioner may provide services in multiple locations.
