What's new What's new 1 BES12 Client is now BlackBerry UEM Client. The following highlights are available in this release of BlackBerry UEM Client for Android version 12.27.0.153083: Support for BlackBerry UEM Simplified enrollment App ratings and reviews Stability improvements and other fixes 4

Fixed issues Fixed issues 2 On some Samsung Galaxy S5 devices that were activated with Samsung KNOX Workspace, the battery drained rapidly and the device overheated because the CPU ran at the maximum. (JI 1627936) When activating a device with a device type that was disallowed by the administrator, an "unknown error" message was displayed and the device was not activated. (JI 1580582) When trying to activate devices running Android 7.0 with Work space only (Android for Work) or Work space only (Android for Work - Premium) activation types, the devices did not activate properly. (JI 1577130) For devices activated with the Work space only (Android for Work) activation type, the "Delete all device data" command button incorrectly appeared as "Delete only work data". (JI 1572520) The About screen did not load properly. (JI 1568434) On some Samsung devices activated with Samsung KNOX Workspace, Good Dynamics apps were not successfully pushed to the devices. (JI 1565937) On Samsung KNOX devices, while BlackBerry Dynamics apps were installing in the KNOX Workspace, the BlackBerry UEM Client stopped responding if you switched to an app in the personal space. (JI 1552828) On Samsung devices that are activated with Samsung KNOX Workspace, the device restarted more than once when the Enable NIAP Common Criteria functionality IT policy was assigned to it. (JI 1552236) After a user uninstalled a required app, the user was not automatically prompted to reinstall the app. (JI 1531940) When a user tried to activate a device with the Work space only (Android for Work) activation type and entered an incorrect password, the device was wiped and reset to factory settings. (JI 1380045) 5

Known issues Known issues 3 After a Notes Traveler email profile is assigned to a device, if the device user upgrades from BES12 Client to BlackBerry UEM Client, the IBM Verse app is not preconfigured properly when the user tries to set it up. (JI 1654896) Workaround: Administrators can remove and reassign the email profile. On Samsung devices activated with the Work space only (Samsung KNOX) activation type, the device is unable to connect to a VPN using Juniper 6. (JI 1654776) Users are not able to share BlackBerry UEM Client log files with BlackBerry Work. (JI 1653025) Workaround: Administrators must enable the "Enable importing from 3rd-party native apps" policy. Users are not receiving notifications to update internal apps. (JI 1648856) Workaround: Manually check for app updates in the BlackBerry UEM Client. When the user launches or switches to BlackBerry Work and enters the password, the BlackBerry UEM Client home screen appears and stops responding. (JI 1642192) Workaround: Close the BlackBerry UEM Client and restart BlackBerry Work. If an administrator assigns a new IT policy or profile to a user while the user is connected to a VPN that is assigned, the user is disconnected from the VPN and is unable to reconnect. (JI 1641551) After the BlackBerry UEM Client is updated, the IBM Verse app prompts users to accept the license agreement and enter their password again. (JI 1535779) After the BlackBerry UEM Client is updated, when a user upgrades BlackBerry Work from the BlackBerry UEM Client and taps Open, the user cannot navigate away from the Assigned Work Apps tab.
