PowerPoint Basic PPT2K13B Final Assignment This is the final assignment for the PowerPoint Basic course. Before attempting to complete this evaluation, you should have completed all Lessons Presentations, the Lesson Reading Assignments, the Lesson Exercises and the Assignments after lessons 2 and 4. This assignment will challenge you to use the skills that you have learned in the course. Often, there are various ways in which you can complete a given task. You should strive to use the fastest, most efficient manner of completing each step. Please be sure to read each step thoroughly and carefully follow the instruction to complete the task. After completing each task, be sure to save the file in the My Documents folder on your computer using the suggested name. Task 1 1. Start PowerPoint and choose to create a new Blank Presentation. 2. Add the title: My First Show 3. Format the title: Blue Accent 5 color, bold, 96 pt., Calibri and add an Outer-Offset Diagonal Bottom Right shadow. Apply Loose character spacing. Apply a black outline, width 0.5 pt., solid line, Cap type: Square, and Join type: Bevel. Align the text in the Middle of the textbox. 4. Add the subtitle: By: Your Name to the slide. 5. Format the subtitle: Blue Accent 1, bold, 24 pt., Calibri. Apply a black outline, width 0.25 pt., solid line, Cap type: Flat, and Join type: Round. Apply a 3-D format using Top bevel, width 1 pt. and height 6 pt., Depth Size 0.5 pt., Contour Size 0.5 pt., and Lighting Angle 10. 6. Move the subtitle textbox to the bottom of the slide, reduce the size of the box to height: 0.4 and width 2.24 and center align the textbox. 7. Apply a background to the slide using a Gradient fill using Light Gradient - Accent 1. 8. Insert the PowerPoint Symbol image on the slide. 9. Center the image between the title and subtitle. 10. Apply Paint Strokes Artistic Effect to the image and set the Color Saturation to 200%. 11. Add a new Section Header slide to the presentation. 12. Add the title PowerPoint Presentation to the slide using the same text format as the title in the first slide. 13. Delete the bottom part of the title textbox on the new slide.

14. Apply the same background as the first slide. 15. Switch to the Slide Sorter view. 16. Move this slide into the first slide position. 17. Save the presentation as PPBFA1-your name in the My Documents Task 2 18. Continue with the presentation PPBFA1-your name from the last task. 19. Switch back to Normal view and add a new slide using the title only option. 20. Add the title: Office 2013 Courses and format to match the other slide titles. Reduce the font size to 54 pt. Center align the text in the textbox. 21. Apply the same background as the previous two slides. 22. Insert the Office 2013 Course Titles Excel spreadsheet into the new slide (do not link it). 23. Use the Sum function to total the number of lessons in the cell below the last course. Bold and center the number. (You may have to increase the size of the spreadsheet to display all contents). 24. Center the spreadsheet below the title. 25. Apply a black outline, 4½ pt. to the spreadsheet. 26. Add the following text to the Notes area of slide 3: This is a list of the Office 2013 online learning courses. 27. Record audio using the text in the Notes area. (You should notice a speaker icon on the slide). 28. Play back the recording to ensure it has recorded. Trim the audio if needed to eliminate recording delays in your final product. 29. Set the Playback option to Start Automatically and set the volume to high. 30. Insert a new blank slide at the end of the presentation with same background formatting as the previous slides. 31. Insert the document PowerPoint Basic Course Objectives into the new slide. Use the Link option to enable changes made in original document to display in the presentation. 32. Center and middle align the document on the slide, if necessary. 33. Review spelling in the document and correct any errors (5 of them). 34. Change the title color to Blue, Accent 5, Darker 50%. 35. Change the bullets to open bullets with the same color as the title font, bold, and 14 pt. 36. Apply a border to the inserted document: Long Dash-Dot-Dot, 3 pt. weight, using the same color as the title font. 37. Add another blank slide. 38. Add a textbox and type: This is the end of the show. 39. Translate the sentence into Spanish (Spain).

40. Use the same background and text formatting as on slide 3, but use 44 pt. font size. Resize the textbox to accommodate the sentence on the same line. 41. Center and middle align the textbox on the slide. 42. Apply the Prestige transition to each slide. Make sure there is a duration of 2:00 and advance slide on mouse click is enabled. 43. Set the following options for the show: Presented by speaker Loop continuously until Esc Use narration Show all slides Advance slides manually 44. Play the presentation from the beginning to make sure you have successfully followed the instructions. 45. Save the presentation as PPBFA2-your name in the My Documents Task 3 46. Open a new blank presentation. 47. Create a photo album. Use the photos in the Florida photos 48. Have each photo on its own page with a caption below the picture. 49. Use a Simple Frame, Black for each photo. 50. Name the album Florida Sunshine State 51. Use a solid fill background, Gold color, transparency 10%. (Gold color falls between orange and yellow on the Standard tab in the Colors dialog box). Apply to all slides. 52. Use Century font, 80 pt. for the word Florida and 66 pt. for Sunshine State. The text should be brown and the text outline tan, 2¼ pt. weight with the shadow style Outer-Offset Diagonal Top Right. 53. Florida should appear on the top line and Sunshine State on the second line of the title textbox. 54. Type By: Your Name in the other textbox. Use the same formatting as the title, but change the size to 44 pt. 55. Change the caption color to brown, bold. Use the default font size and style. Apply to all slides. 56. Save this formatting as a theme called Florida in the Document Themes. 57. On slide 1, insert a happy face shape centered between the title and the subtitle. Format the shape: light yellow, outline brown, 3 pt., height: 1.76 width 1.9. 58. Apply the Float In animation to the happy face with a duration of 2.00

59. Apply the Peel Off transition to each page with a duration of 4.50 seconds and advance slide after 5.00 60. Apply the Zoom animation to the picture on slide 2 with a duration of 3:00 61. Apply the Split animation to the picture on slide 3 with a duration of 3:00 62. Apply the Wheel animation to the picture on slide 4 with a duration of 3:00 63. Apply the Shape animation to the picture on slide 5 with a duration of 3:00 64. Apply the Wipe animation to the picture on slide 6 with a duration of 3:00 65. Apply the Random Bars animation to the picture on slide 7 with a duration of 3:00 66. Insert a new blank slide at the end of the presentation. 67. Add the SmartArt graphic Interconnected Rings (Hint: this is located in the Relationship category of the Choose a SmartArt Graphic dialog box). Format as follows: height: 6.04 and width: 8.89, centered and middle aligned on the slide. 68. Type the text: Sand, Surf, Sun in the circles. One word in each circle and format: bold, 60 pt., Century Gothic font. 69. Change the font colors to: brown for Sand blue for Surf purple for Sun Change the shape fill colors to: brown for the Sand circle blue for the Surf circle yellow for the Sun circle 70. Use brown, 3 pt. weight for the shape outline for each circle. 71. Apply the Pulse animation to the graphic. 72. Insert a new blank slide at the end of the presentation. 73. Type the following, one under the other: Keys Central Coastal Panhandle 74. Format the font to match Sunshine State on the title slide and centered. Center and middle align the textbox on the slide.

75. Add right facing arrows (like bullets) to the left of each word. Format the arrows as follows: fill color yellow, outline color green, 1½ pt., height: 0.43 and width: 0.64. 76. Center the arrows on each word and align the right points. 77. Apply the following animations to each word as follows, with a duration of 3.00 seconds for each: Wheel-Keys Swivel-Central Split-Coastal Float In-Panhandle 78. Insert a new blank slide at the end of the presentation. 79. On the new slide add the text: The End with the same formatting as Florida on the title slide. 80. Center and middle align the textbox on the slide. 81. Apply the Float Out animation with a duration of 3.00 82. Set up the slide show with the following options: Browsed by an individual Loop continuously until Esc Show without narration All slides Advance slides using timings 83.
