First steps First steps If your computer is equipped with a serial interface (RS232), there is no need to consider the details of the USB-RS232 converter Install the driver for the USB-RS232 converter Connect the "USB-RS232 converter" to a free USB-Port in your computer Set the Com-Port in the "device manager" of Windows for the USB-RS232 converter, valid values: Com 1-4 Connect the machine with the COM-Port or with USB-RS232 converter Turn on the machine please consider the machine has to be in the working menu Start the PCA3 Select in "Menu Options", System Setup the Register "SYSTEM SETUP" Configure the Com-Port (2) Set the desired language (3) Set the software version of the machine (4) Set the measuring system (5) Confirm with "OK" (6) If the message "COMPORT is available is displayed leave the "System Setup" by "Exit" (7), end the program and restart the computer If the message "ERROR! Comport in use by WINDOWS" is displayed leave the "System Setup" by "Exit" (7) and close the PCA3 Check the settings of the COM-ports in the "device manager" of Windows and repeat the previous steps Click to START (15) in the "Main Window" The machine reports in the "Status box" (10) of the "Main Window"
"TTTsystem - G8 ZAP Ready!" Now the machine is communicating with the PCA3. It is possible to retrieve cut data from the machine If you are receiving the message "Transmission Error --> Check Connection" Please check the cable connections and weather the machine is in the standard menu. Repeat the previous steps
Preparation Preparation Start the PCA3 Click to "START" (15) in the "Main Window" The machine reports in the "status box" (10) of the "Main Window" "TTTsystem - G8 ZAP ready!" The machine is now communicating with the PCA3. It is possible to retrieve cut data from the machine If necessary load a User configuration which is already saved or configure the system according to your demands in the "System Setup", Register "MODE" and Register "SCALING" If necessary save your User configuration If necessary load a "Set of Parameter" or "configure the "Set of Parameter" If necessary save the" Set of Parameter" or print the "Set of Parameter" Transfer the Parameters (12) to the machine If function "Autostart" in "Startmode" (8) is selected, you have to measure and save the spindle advance in machine menu "START SETUP -> START AUTO Sz" To set this parameter, please refer to the manual of the machine
Record cut Record cut Prepare the system Start a "cut" with the machine Click to "Transfer Data" (11) The data retrieved from the machine are displayed in Register "GRAPH" Configure the "Legend" and give a name to the plot These settings are lost when you delete (12) (13) the graph(s) and they will not saved anyway. They are only suitable for a better overview and for screenshots If "Auto transfer data" (6) is active, the data are transferred automatically and displayed in the Register "GRAPH" If necessary save this measurement If "Autosave" is active, a dialog to save the measurement is displayed If you confirm with Yes, this measurement will be saved in the "TTT" installation directory in \work\current date\current time_ttt.cut (e.g. C:\Programme\TTT SYSTEM\WORK\021207\162817_TTT.CUT)
If "Autosav all" is active, every transferred measurement will be saved in \work\current date\current time_ttt.cut (e.g. C:\Programme\TTT SYSTEM\WORK\021207\162817_TTT.CUT without any request
