Summary Single Sign-On (SSO) is a mechanism that eliminates the need for users to enter passwords for every system that they log on to. The Single Sign-On allows users to authenticate themselves once, and then log on to all of those systems that operate in the Single Sign-On environment without further intervention. Technical components of the SSO environment SAP Enterprise Portal as an authentication component that issues SAP logon tickets for the mobile device SAP NetWeaver Mobile client component running on the mobile device SAP NetWeaver Mobile server component (= middleware, DOE) The DOE, which is the SAP NetWeaver Mobile server component, has to be configured to trust SAP logon tickets that are issued by the predetermined ticket issuing system. Prerequisites 1. The user must have a user account at the Portal server with the same user ID as at the DOE. 2. The DOE has to be configured to trust SAP logon tickets that are issued by the Portal server (see the Portal's security guide). 3. The Portal has to be configured to issue SAP logon tickets. The Portal has to be configured to support authentication mechanism via user ID and password. How to configure the client for SSO login The following properties have to be added to the file configuration.properties in MI\settings folder of the client. com.sap.tc.mobile.sync.http.url=<url for the DOE> com.sap.tc.mobile.cfs.sso.saplogonticketsupportenabled = true com.sap.tc.mobile.cfs.sso.saplogonticketrequesturl=<url for ticket issuing system> MobileEngine.UserManagement.ssologonsupport=true Execution Start Mobile client. A user login page to enter user id and password is displayed. Logon by providing your Portal's user ID and password. Logon is performed and a few seconds later the client's homepage is displayed. Info-link, Settings-link and Trace-link will be displayed. Create a device in the DOE and then Synchronize. Screen to provide sync password is not displayed. Synchronization happens and the mobile device is registered. 2011 SAP AG 3
