Interference All wireless devices may be susceptible to interference, which could affect performance. Introduction This easy fit product allows you to make and receive calls hands free in your car. You can connect the handsfree to a compatible phone that supports Bluetooth wireless technology. Read this user guide carefully before using the handsfree. Also read the user guide for your phone, which

provides important safety and maintenance information. Keep the handsfree out of reach of small children. Bluetooth wireless technology Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to connect compatible communication devices without cables. In a Bluetooth connection, the phone and the handsfree should be within 10 meters (30 feet) of each other. Connections can be subject to interference from obstructions, such as walls, or other electronic devices. Get started The handsfree is compliant with the Bluetooth Specification 1.2 supporting the following profiles: Handsfree Profile 1.0 and Headset Profile 1.1. Check with the manufacturers of other devices to determine their compatibility with this device. There may be restrictions on using Bluetooth technology in some locations. Check with your local authorities or service provider. Before using the handsfree, you must install it in the car, and pair it with a compatible phone. Parts The handsfree contains the following parts shown at the start of this guide: Tiltable cigarette lighter plug (1) Speaker (2)

Indicator light (3) Function key (4) Volume keys (5) Microphone (6) Install the handsfree in the car To function properly, the handsfree must be connected to the cigarette lighter socket of the car, and power must be supplied by the 12 volt car battery. Insert the handsfree into the cigarette lighter socket. You can tilt the cigarette lighter plug to the desired angle (up to 90 degrees). Do not try to force the plug to tilt more. Ensure that the handsfree is properly inserted in the cigarette lighter socket, and does not interfere with the normal operation of the car. In some car models, the cigarette lighter socket is powered by the car battery even when you remove the ignition key. In those cases, the car battery might be discharged if the handsfree is left on, or if the handsfree is turned off but connected to the cigarette lighter socket for a long time. Contact the vehicle manufacturer for more information. Switch the handsfree on or off To switch on, plug the handsfree into the cigarette lighter socket, or if already inserted in the cigarette lighter socket, press and hold the function key. When the handsfree is switched on, the indicator light flashes blue. To switch off, press and hold the function key until the indicator light briefly flashes red, or pull the handsfree out from the cigarette lighter socket. Pair the handsfree with a phone 1. Switch on your phone.

2. Ensure that the handsfree is installed properly and switched off. 3. Press and hold the function key until the indicator light alternately flashes blue and red. 4. Activate the Bluetooth feature on the phone, and set the phone to search for Bluetooth devices. See the user guide of your phone. 5. Select the handsfree (Nokia HF-35W) from the list. 6. Enter the Bluetooth passcode 0000 to pair and connect the handsfree to your phone. In some phones you may need to make the connection separately after pairing. See the user guide of your phone. If the pairing is successful, the indicator light flashes blue five times, and the handsfree sounds a long beep and appears in the phone menu where you can view the currently paired Bluetooth devices. You can set your phone to connect with the handsfree automatically when the handsfree is switched on. To do this in Nokia phones, change your paired device settings in the Bluetooth menu. To disconnect the handsfree from your phone, switch off the handsfree, or disconnect the handsfree in the Bluetooth menu of the phone. To reconnect the paired handsfree to your phone, ensure the Bluetooth feature is activated in the phone, and switch on the handsfree. If you want to remove the pairing, you can do it in the Bluetooth menu of the phone.

Call handling To adjust the volume during a call, use the volume keys on the handsfree. To make a call, use your phone in the normal way when the handsfree is connected to your phone. Speak toward the handsfree microphone. For optimal performance, check that there are no objects in front of the microphone and that the microphone is in front of the user, not beneath or behind. If your phone supports redialing with the handsfree, briefly press the function twice when no call is in progress. Care and maintenance Your device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship and should be treated with care. The suggestions If your phone supports voice dialing with the handsfree, press and hold the function key when no call is in progress, and proceed as described in the user guide of your phone. When you receive a call, you hear a ringing tone through the handsfree speaker. To answer the call, press the function key, or use the phone keys. To reject the call, press and hold either volume key until the handsfree beeps twice. To end a call, press the function key, or use the phone keys. below will help you protect your warranty coverage.

Keep all accessories and enhancements out of the reach of small children. Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity and all types of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that will corrode electronic circuits. If your device does get wet, allow it to dry completely. Do not use or store the device in dusty, dirty areas. Its moving parts and electronic components can be damaged. Do not store the device in hot areas. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices and warp or melt certain plastics. Do not store the device in cold areas. When the device returns to its normal temperature, moisture can form inside the device and damage electronic circuit boards. Do not attempt to open the device. Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break internal circuit boards and fine mechanics. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device. Do not paint the device. Paint can clog the moving parts, microphone, or speaker, and prevent proper operation. If the device is not working properly, take it to the nearest authorized service facility for service.

Check regularly that all wireless device equipment in your vehicle is mounted and operating properly. For vehicles equipped with an air bag, remember that air bags inflate with great force. Do not place objects, including installed or portable wireless equipment in the area over the air bag or in the air bag deployment area. If in-vehicle wireless equipment is improperly installed and the air bag inflates, serious injury could result.
