Click 340/341/342 Click 340/341/342 Bid Specification 1.0 General. This item shall govern the purchase and installation of a managed Ethernet switch (ES) equivalent to the Wavetronix Click 340, of a managed Ethernet and multimode fiber switch (EMFS) equivalent to the Wavetronix Click 341, and of a managed Ethernet and single-mode fiber switch (ESFS) equivalent to the Wavetronix Click 342. These switches shall be used to expand an Ethernet network. Test results and other documentation demonstrating performance and capabilities shall be provided. 2.0 Product Description. The ES shall be an Ethernet switch, with 8 RJ-45 ports (4 RJ-45 ports on the EMFS and the ESFS), 10/100 Mbps, auto-crossing and auto-negotiation, SNMP management (Simple Network Management Protocol), and redundancy via Rapid Spanning Tree (IEEE 802.1w). The EMFS and EMFS shall have four SC fiber optic connections in place of four of the RJ-45 ports, thus further extending the transmission capabilities of the switch. In this document, the EMFS and the ESFS shall be identical to the ES except where otherwise stated. 3.0 Physical. The ES shall not exceed 1.8 in. x 3.9 in. x 4.4 in. (4.5 cm x 9.9 cm x 11.2 cm) in its physical dimensions. The ES shall not exceed 0.3 lbs. (0.14 kg) in weight. The SCM shall operate in the temperature range of -40 F to 158 F (-40 C to 70 C). The ES shall operate in humidity up to 95% RH. The ES shall withstand falls from 3.3 ft. (1 m). 4.0 Mounting. The ES shall mount to a DIN rail for quick and easy installation. 5.0 Power. The switch shall operate using 6 W (ES) or 9.6 W (EMFS and ESFS) of average power at 18.5 to 30.5 VDC. The ES shall have connections for wiring in redundant power supplies. 6.0 Connections. The ES shall include the following connections for power and communication: 6.1 Power. The ES shall include two pluggable screw terminal blocks; one of these blocks shall have four screw terminals for power. These screw terminals shall allow for the connection of a redundant power supply. The other pluggable screw terminal block shall have a terminal for an optional earth ground connection. 6.2 Alarm. The pluggable screw terminal blocks shall have two screw terminals to function as alarm contacts for monitoring the power supplies. 6.3 Ethernet. The ES shall include eight RJ-45 jacks. The EMFS and the ESFS shall include four RJ-45 jacks. 6.4 Fiber Optic. The EMFS shall feature four SC connectors for multimode communication. The ESFS shall feature four SC connectors for single-mode communication. For each set of two connectors, one shall be for transmitting data and the other for receiving. 7.0 Communication. The ES shall have the following communication capabilities: 7.1 Ethernet. The ES shall expand an Ethernet network. The ES Ethernet connections shall have a transmission speed of 10/100 Mbps.
