First Time Use of Remote Access Effective October 1, 2017, the F5 Big-IP Edge Client will be required to access your STRS Ohio Shared Desktops Computers(s) from a different location via a Remote Desktop Connection. Before you begin, you will need the following information: STRS Ohio Network Username STRS Ohio Network Password RSA Token PIN Number The one-time install of the new client is not browser dependent and works on most operating systems, therefore, simplifies the remote access process. F5 Access Client and Chrome RDP Installation Each associate must complete a one-time installation of the F5 Access Client and Chrome RDP in order to access the STRS Ohio Network and their workstation. NOTE: The F5 Access Client must be installed on each device the associate plans to use to access the STRS Ohio Network. 1. On your Chromebook with Internet access, open the Web Store. 2. Search for F5 Access and install the application. 3. Click on the + ADD TO CHROME button. 4. A pop-up displays click on the ADD APP button. 5. From the Web Store, search for Chrome RDP and click on the + ADD TO CHROME button to install the application. 6. A pop-up appears click on the ADD APP button. 7. In the lower corner, the downloading message eventually changes to successfully installed. Page 1 August 28, 2017
Setup of the F5 Access Client Once the F5 Access Client is successfully configured, you will be able to connect to the STRS Ohio Network. 1. Open the F5 Access Client on your Chromebook. 2. Click on the ACCEPT button when the End User License Agreement displays. 3. Click on the + ADD CONFIGURATION button. 4. In the Name field, type Telework. 5. In the Server URL field, type https://telework.strsoh.org. 6. In the Username field, type your RSA username (the username is the same as your network username). 7. Click on the SAVE button. 8. When the following window appears, the F5 Access Client configuration is complete and can be used to create a connection to the STRS Ohio Network. 9. Close the F5 Access Client window. Connect to STRS Ohio Network F5 Access Client Setup for ChromeBook Systems 1. Once the F5 Access Client is installed on your ChromeBook, use the following steps to connect to the STRS Ohio Network. 2. Click on the bottom tray bar. 3. Click VPN disconnected. 4. Under F5 Access, click Telework. 5. If the Username field is blank, type your Network Username (the username is the same as your network username). 6. In the Password field, type your RSA SecurID (PIN + Token Code). Type your PIN followed by the 6-digit authentication code from your RSA token, in that order, with no separation between the two. 7. Click on the LOGON button. 8. Wait a few seconds. Page 3 August 28, 2017
9. Click on the bottom tray bar. 10. Confirm your VPN connection (Connected to Telework). Setup Remote Desktop Connection The next step is to setup a Chrome RDP and connect to your STRS Workstation. NOTE: There is no limit on the number of Remote Desktop Connections you can setup. Saving your remote desktop connection settings provides quick access to a specific workstation or server. 1. Open the Chrome RDP application. The Loading message appears. 2. In the upper right hand corner, click Options. August 28, 2017 Page 4
3. On the General tab, from the Resolution drop-down list, select Full Screen. 4. From the Colors drop-down list, select High Color (16 bit). 5. Click on the OK button. 6. In the Enter the computer name or address to connect to text box, type your Network Username. 7. Click on the CONNECT button. The Enter your credentials box appears. Page 5 August 28, 2017
8. If the Domain text box is blank, type T1. 9. In the Username text box, type your Network Username. 10. In the Password text box, type your Network Password. 11. Click on the OK button. 12. Click on the CONTINUE button to accept the security certificate information. August 28, 2017 Page 6

Second Time Use of Remote Access After the initial one-time install of the F5 Access Client, subsequent uses of Remote Access are fairly simple as long as you have the following items: STRS Ohio Network Username STRS Ohio Network Password RSA Token PIN Number NOTE: The F5 Access Client must be installed on each device you use to access the STRS Ohio Network. Connect to the STRS Ohio Network Bear in mind, you must first connect to the F5 Access Client before a Remote Desktop Connection can be run. 1. Click on the bottom tray bar. 2. Click VPN disconnected. 3. Under F5 Access, click Telework. August 28, 2017 Page 8
4. If the Username field is blank, type your Network Username (the username is the same as your network username). 5. In the Password field, type your PIN followed by the 6-digit authentication code from your RSA token, in that order, with no separation between the two. 6. Click on the LOGON button. 7. Wait a few seconds. 8. Click on the bottom tray bar. 9. Confirm that your VPN connection says Connected to Telework. 10. Open the Chrome RDP application. 11. Appendix Change or Reset SecurID PIN for a RSA Token STRS Ohio associates does not require IT assistance to change or reset the SecurID PIN for their RSA token. 1. On a computer with Internet access, open a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox. 2. Navigate to https://telework.strsoh.org. 3. In the RSA SecurID Username text box, type your username if blank. 4. In the RSA SecurID (PIN + Token Code) text box, enter the 6-digit authentication code from your RSA token. 5. Click on the LOGON button. 6. Type a y to respond to the question Are you ready to enter a new PIN? (y/n). 7. Provide a PIN of your choice. The PIN must be a string of 6-8 alphanumeric characters. 8. Click on the LOGON button. NOTE: For subsequent logins, your password will consist of this PIN and the authentication code from your RSA token. Page 11 August 28, 2017
Disconnect from the F5 Access Client When you are finish, click on the (x) on the Remote Desktop Connection window or logout or disconnect from the F5 Access Client. 1. Click on the bottom tray bar. 2. Click Connected to Telework. 3. Click on the DISCONNECT button. August 28, 2017 Page 12
