Poll 2: Platform you primarily use to host webinars? 3 Business Drivers for Conducting a Webinars Stanford L&D Dept Services Learn From Anywhere Initiative Provide learning opportunities for an increasingly dispersed workforce environment Employee preference moving towards both classroom-based and synchronous learning delivery methods Easy access to training Shorter training sessions Allow for archiving learning modules to provide 24/7 access to learning Expand our blended learning techniques 4 Page 2

L&D Launches a Webinar Pilot Program Conducted Benchmarking Study To indentify webinar best practices on soft skill topics that are educationally-based by other training providers. Determined that there wasn t a vendor we could hire to design and deliver webinars. We would need to create a program with our external contracted trainers to do it ourselves. Does your organization teach soft skill webinars? Show Thumbs Pilot Goals To Determine: What kind of soft skill topics could work well delivered as a synchronous online training? How might synchronous online training augment classroom training? What would be advantages and disadvantages? Would webinars be cost effective? What is the interest and skill from L&D s external trainers in doing synchronous training? What would it take to deliver it? What degree of support would T&OD need to provide to external trainers to teach webinars? What technology is needed to successfully host webinars offered between L&D and external trainers? 6 Page 3
