Yes (1) and press OK. Sending a Photo 1. From the Camera (6) menu, select Gallery (2). 2. All Pictures (1), General Pictures (2) or Phonebook Pictures (3) and press OK. 3. Use the Navigation Key to select an image. 4. Press Left Soft Key for Options, select Send Photo (2). 5. Enter the text and/or use the Navigation Key to select a sound you wish to send. 6. Press Right Soft Key for Menu and select Send (1). 7. Press Left Soft Key for Yes when prompted if you would like to send this message. 8. Address Book to search for an existing contact, press Left Soft Key for or use the Navigation Key and enter an email or phone number and press Left Soft Key for Done. 9. CONNECTIVITY FEATURES DOWNLOADING MEDIA MALL CONTENT Ringtones, games, applications, utilities and graphics can be downloaded and run on the phone. Downloading New Content from MEdia Mall 1. From the MEdia Mall (5) menu, select from Shop Ringtones (1), Shop Games (2), Shop Graphics (3), Shop MMS (4) or Shop Applications (5) and press OK. 2. Once connected, choose the content you want to download. Access MEdia Home 1. From the MEdia Mall (5) menu, select MEdia Home (6). 2. What's Hot (1), Email (2), Games (3), Tones & Graphics (4), Chat & Meet (5), CNNtoGo (6), Weather.com (7), ESPN Sports (8), My Info (9), More... (10). 3. Choose the category you wish to access and press Left Soft Key for OK. ACCESSING THE WEB The new L1200 is enabled by the Openwave 6.2 (WAP 2.0) Browser to access the Web. To Connect to the Internet 1. From the MEdia Net (4) menu, select MEdia Home (1). 2. Once connected the Cingular homepage is displayed. 3. To exit the browser at any time, press the END key and press Left Soft Key for Yes. 3

To Access a Specific URL 1. From the MEdia Net (4) menu, select Go to URL (3). 2. Enter a URL using the key pad and press Left Soft Key for Done, press OK for Go. 3. To exit the browser at any time, press the END key and press Left Soft Key for Yes. TEXT MESSAGES Text Messages 1 Write Message 2 Inbox 3 Outbox 4 Drafts 5 Settings 6 Delete All Send New Allows you to write and send text messages of up to 918 characters. 1. From the Messaging (2) menu, select Text Messages (1). 2. Write Message (1). 3. Enter a text message and press Left Soft Key for Options. 4. Press Send To Number (1), or Send To Email (2), and enter a recipient. Up to 5 recepients can be added. 5. Press Left Soft Key for Options and select Send (1) and press OK. MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES New Write Send New Allows you to send multimedia messages containing text, images, and/or sound clips. 1. From the Messaging (2) menu, select Multimedia Messages (3). 2. Write Message (1). 3. New and press OK. 4. Enter the text and use the Navigation Key to select Add image and/or Add sound, then press Right Soft Key for Menu and select Send (1). 5. Address Book to search for an existing contact or use the Navigation Key to scroll down to enter an email or phone number, press Left Soft Key for Done. 6. Press Right Soft Key for Menu and select Send MMS (1). INSTANT MESSAGING The new L1200 can send instant messages using AOL Instant Messanger. Enter the Screen Name and Password, then press Left Soft Key for OK. CUSTOMIZABLE FEATURES CUSTOMIZING THE DISPLAY SETTINGS Changing the light Timer Allows you to select the duration the backlight is on for the displays. 1. SETTING YOUR SECURITY PREFERENCES Your initial security code is commonly 0000. Setting PIN Code Request 1. From the Settings (9) menu, select Security (5). 2. PIN Code Request (1). 3. Enable (1) or Disable (2) and press OK. Security Code Levels Security Code: Helps protect the phone from unauthorized use. The security code is required to delete all phone entries and to activate the Restore Factory Settings menu. PIN1 Code: When the PIN code request feature is enabled, you must enter your PIN each time you switch the phone on. PIN2 Code: Allows you to restrict your outgoing calls to selected phone numbers, if this function is supported by your SIM card. The PIN2 code is required. It is continually updated as new numbers are added to the beginning of the list and the oldest entries are removed from the bottom of the list. Making a Call From Recent Calls 1. From the Recent Calls (1) menu, select Missed Calls (1), Dialed Calls (2), or Received Calls (3) and press Left Soft Key to. 2. Use the Navigation Key to select the desired entry and press Left Soft Key for Options. 3. Call (4). Scheduling an Event 1. From My MEdia (7) menu, select Tools (6). 2. Calendar (2). 3. Highlight the event date using the Navigation Key and press Left Soft Key for. 4. Press Left Soft Key for Options. 5. Add New (1). 6. Enter a name to search from the Address Book or use the Navigation Key to select a name and press Left Soft Key for. Caller Groups Allows you to organize names from your Address Book into groups. You can set the phone to ring in a specific way and display a preselected graphic icon when a particular person calls you. 1. From the Address Book (8) menu, select Caller Groups (5). 2. Use the Navigation Key to select a group and press Left Soft Key for Options. 3. Add Member (4). 4. Enter a name to search from the Address Book or use the Navigation Key to select a name and press Left Soft Key for. OTHER NOTABLE SETTINGS Vibrate Mode Manner Mode Use Manner Mode in a public place to disable the ringer and activate Vibration Mode. 1. In the standby mode, activate Manner Mode by pressing the Manner Mode Key (for 3 seconds) - the phone will vibrate when activated. 2. When set, Vibrate Mode will appear on the screen. 3. To release Manner Mode, press the key until Normal Mode is displayed. Conference Calls Conference calling provides you with the ability to have a simultaneous conversation with more than one caller. Up to 5 callers can be added to a conference call. 1. After establishing a connection with the first caller, press Left Soft Key for Options and select Hold call (1). 2. Dial the second party you wish to conference a call with and press Left Soft Key for Options and select Hold call (1). 3. Press Left Soft Key for Options and select Conference Call (1). 4.
