Setting up the printer and inserting the ink ribbon Place the printer on an even, firm surface. Avoid damp areas! Opening the cover: To do this, pull the two green levers on the side of the printer forward at the same time and open the cover all the way. (Loosening the locking device again: see) First, insert the red-orange cardboard roll for the ink ribbon directly under the cover. Lightly press the roll holder against the spring to do this. The ink ribbon holder is easily recognizable by its white knob. (below the red-orange cardboard roll) Insert with the matte black side down and slide it onto the roller holder centered in place. Press lightly against the spring while doing this. The ink ribbon is correctly in place when the knob locks into the ink ribbon groove (see figure at right). There should be a slight resistance when you pull on the ink ribbon. Inserting the ink ribbon: Simply attach the transparent strips of the ink ribbon to the red cardboard roll using adhesive tape. Turn the green knob until the transparent section of the ink ribbon is completely wound around the roll. The ink ribbon is then firmly in place on the cardboard roll. Please find additional information at Page 3

Inserting or replacing the roller Install the smooth roller for printing of marking strips and labels; the roller with the guide grooves must be used for WMB Inline markers (see figure). Smooth roller for marking strips Inserting/Replacing the roller: Move the green locking levers on both ends of the roller to a vertical position. Pull the roller out toward the top and install a new roller (ensuring that it is straight when in place). Roller with guide grooves for WMB material Then pull the two green locking levers toward the front to lock in place. Notice: You must have an extra roller with other guide grooves for printing Mini-WSB Inline markers (Item No. 258-5008). Setting tips and tricks at: WAGO TIP: Clean the roller regularly with alcohol to ensure clean printing at all times. Inserting the marking accessories Set the roll with the marking material in the roll holder and place this behind the printer. Inserted marking strip Inserted WMB Inline material The marker strips are fed to the printer in a clockwise direction, while the WMB Inline markers are fed in a counter-clockwise direction.. When the printer is opened, the marking material is moved toward the front from the back of the printer through the opening provided for this. Then, pull it through the green material guide to the roller. Material feed As the last step, push the green material guide together. If required, align the markers exactly to the roller guide groove. Press and release the retention stops. Close the printer cover so that it locks into place.
