Introduction The Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter enable you to connect any VGA interface embedded device (Monitor, Projector ) with a Mini DisplayPort interface (Desktop, Laptop) and no need to purchase any Mini DisplayPort embedded terminal device. Product Overview VGA receptacle plug Mini DisplayPort Connection Check the following information before connecting to a mini display device. The product DO NOT need any external drivers. This product is the adapter for connecting mini DisplayPort to VGA port. Make sure the source device (Desktop, Laptop ) Has been mini-displayport embedded or bundled any Adapter / connector with mini-displayport. Make sure the terminal device (Monitor, Projector ) has been VGA port embedded or bundled any Adapter / connector with VGA port. 5
A VGA male to male cable is necessary when connecting to a terminal device. (Note this cable is not supplied) Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 operation system is necessary when switching to eyefinity mode. 6
Extended/mirror mode 1. Plug a VGA male connector into the VGA receptacle of Adapter, and the other end to a VGA embedded device. (Cable of VGA male to male is not supplied) 2. Plug the Mini DisplayPort into a Mini-DisplayPort embedded device. 3. Configure the display settings For Windows OS: Position the mouse anywhere on your computer desktop, right-click and select Display settings on Windows 10, Screen Resolution on Windows 7 / Windows 8/ Windows 8.1, and then select the option that best suits your needs from the dropdown menu of Multiple Displays. 7
For Mac OS: System Preference>Displays. Adjust your preference mode by Arrangement. Note: Move white top bar can set your Main screen. 8
Eyefinity mode 1. Eyefinity is a technology of multi-display from AMD (previously ATI) which supporting to connect three to six displays to one graphic card. For the supported graphic cards, refer to AMD website. 2. Connect an embedded Mini-DisplayPort device to an embedded VGA device as diagram below. 3. Configure it from Catalyst Control Center > Multi-Displays > Create Eyefinity Display Group. Refer to the user's manual of graphic card or AMD website for more setting details. Note: This function supports only when using Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 as the operation system. 9
