Belt Guard SOFTWARE INSTALLATION & SETUP All Belt Guard devices are software-based. Device configuration and operation is performed under Belt Guard BOSS Client software, which is supplied with the device. Using a Citrix-based solution, Belt Guard BOSS is accessible from a range of Platforms including; PCs, Macs, Linux Computers, Android phones, iphones/ipads, Blackberry s and Windows Phones/Surface Tablets. Access to the Internet is needed as well as sufficient rights to install the Citrix Receiver App on the relevant platform. 1. Access Via a Computer: Download & install the Citrix Receiver App. From a PC, Mac or Linux based computer the App is downloaded from receiver.citrix.com and is a 50MB+ file. Once downloaded, double-click on CitrixReceiver.exe to begin the installation. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION MANUAL (v 0.1) 5 www.beltscan.com
When the install is completed, the Citrix App will minimise to your Notification Area near your clock. From here there are two ways to access the Citrix Platform. 1. Via the Citrix Receiver Application. 2. Via a Web Browser. 1.1 Access through the Citrix Receiver Application: Click the small arrow near your clock to show the current applications running and you will see the Citrix icon in black with four half-circles. Right-click on the icon and left-click on Open. When first opened you need to add a Citrix Account. The server address is https://central.beltscan.com Click Next. Once the account is verified you will be asked to login with the credentials given to you when the system was purchased. The format is the Domain name which is always central followed by the username and then the password. E.G central\username Click Log On. This is the default screen when you log on for the first time. Click on the + icon to the left of the screen to display the list of folders and applications you have been given access to, based on the Belt Guard device(s) purchased. Clicking on a folder name will show the application. Click on the application to add it to your list of favourite Apps. 1.2 Access through a Web Browser: Open a web browser and navigate to https://central.beltscan.com Login with the credentials given to you when the Belt Guard device was purchased. When you first login you will be asked to download the Citrix Receiver Client App. Since you would have already done so in the previous section, click on Already Installed. From here you have access to the software and manuals associated with the device purchased. It will either be listed by Client or by Software, I.E. BG Boss. SOFTWARE INSTALLATION MANUAL (v 0.1) 11 www.beltscan.com
Clicking on the BG Boss folder will list the software. Clicking on the Icon will launch the application. You may be asked to save, open or run a launch.ica file when you access an application for the first time. The application is then streamed to your computer and opened when ready. 2. Access Via a Phone or Tablet: From a phone or tablet the software is downloaded from the relevant Application Store associated with your device. The following example is on an Apple iphone 5. Tap Add Account The address is https://central.beltscan.com Tap Next Your username and password will be given to you when you first purchase the Belt Guard device. The Domain is always central. From here you have access to the software and manuals associated with the device purchased. It will either be listed by Client or by Software, I.E. BG Boss. Standard Pinch and Zoom functionality of Apple IOS works the same through the App. There is a keyboard and mouse function to use when needed, accessed via the Grid Button at the bottom of the screen.
