Release highlights Advanced Forms Processing Extender: an extended version of the ecopy Forms Processing Extender, offering a variety of new features and options like a new, powerful and intuitive Form Template Editor, optimized configuration user interface in the Administration Console and performance optimization. New and improved version of the Healthcare Extender. - 1 -

High Availability via MS NLB cluster: single point of administration for large MFP fleets and main functions such as ShareScan Manager service restart, trace export, etc. Document creation load balancing support. Capture Server Monitor: a utility for ecopy ShareScan 5.2 SP2 that monitors its managers, stops any node in case of malfunction and sends email notification to a predefined email address when ShareScan stops working on a node. Extended Job watchdog functionality: starting from the current version, it covers device jobs as well. Improved Cost Recovery v2 support for certain legacy devices. Extended OCR language support (100+ languages). More PDF Image Compression options (via the Administration Console). Optimized PDF text recognition: text available as part of the original PDF file without decreased quality. Syntax highlighting in the Database Lookup Extender. Support for MS SQL Server 2014: only as the ecopy configuration database (certain limitations apply database Lookup Extender and Quick Connect). Java Runtime Environment version 1.7 updated to update 51. Fixes and improvements Watcher device number reported correctly in Administration Console MAPI protocol incompatibility with 64 bit version of Outlook is properly communicated Mail watcher does not process e-mails with empty 'From' field(s), therefore avoids hanging jobs 'Internal' user can successfully send email message to POP3 account configured via Email watcher (converting pdf files to word) Seamless JRE update when installing ShareScan 5.2 SP2 Proper value displayed in Data Publishing mapping, when selecting New Document on the Redirect screen at the end of the previous job In Lookup Settings of Database Lookup Extender, highlighted query states are returned in the same way after cancelling from Edit/Copy/Remove states Creating device groups with the same name but in different case is not possible Optimized database connection when renamining device group in Administration Console CR with Equitrac works properly even at high CPU load ShareScan Manager configured with Activity tracking can be removed from ShareScan Troubleshooter tool Clearer user interface communication around the effect of Advanced Settings

Naming conflict resolved for files (incoming / being processed) with the same name in the same Watched Folder Stable data loading in Job Monitor web page Proper error messaging in Job Monitor More stable communication with web-based devices Job Monitor: more dynamic handling of large active jobs Image Control: profile export-import works correctly ScanStation: fixed on-screen workflow for the Worksite connector Scan to Desktop: fixed access errors in cases when root path permissions were set during connector configuration QuickConnect: index file XSLT transform creates xml output withproper indenting QuickConnect: Modified routing, file name or index file field values are not preserved after new document is selected on Redirect screen Known limitations and workarounds If Windows authentication credentials of current user is selected when installing Capture Server Monitor, the installation process is interrupted and rolled back. If you try and run a second instance of the Advanced FPE Form Template Editor while the first instance is still running, you may experience stability issues. In Advanced FPE Form Template Editor, it is recommended that you use TIFF files for templates with barcode anchor zones. Glossary Editor - Search: for optimal functionality obtain a signed virtual device connector glossary xml from product support. ScanStation: Brightness settings may not take effect on certain devices when scanning full color.
