Refer to the Switched Fabric Topology Parameters table located on the E-Lab Navigator (ELN) at https://elabnavigator.emc.com for supported switch fabric interoperability firmware and settings. a. Currently, EMC Hybrid Cloud 2.5.1 continuous availability solution supports VPLEX Metro in a uniform Cross-Connect configuration only, b. Only VPLEX Metro configuration is supported at this time. VPLEX Metro uses two VPLEX clusters (one at each location) and supports synchronous distributed volumes that mirror data between the two clusters using write-through caching. c. Not supported with the Continuous Availability solution. Continuous Availability and Disaster Recovery Continuous Availability and Disaster Recovery are two very different solutions for EMC Enterprise Hybrid Cloud. Continuous Availability Provided by EMC VPLEX and VMware High Availability. Note: EMC RecoverPoint or VMware Site Recovery Manager are not supported. Currently, the EMC Hybrid Cloud 2.5.1 CA solution with VPLEX does not automatically configure a host or site affinity rule for virtual machines. Virtual machines located in the EHC Management Pods (Core, Automation, and NEI) can have affinity rules configured manually if required. EHC Tenant virtual machines are deployed into a single metro cluster without any affinity rules, where VMware DRS manages the VM placement. As this solution is a cross- connect configuration, the latency of all I/O operations across sites is <1ms. Disaster Recovery Provided by EMC RecoverPoint with VMware Site Recovery Manager.

Note: The ShellShock vulnerability affects GNU Bourne-Again Shell (Bash), the common command-line shell used in many Linux/ UNIX operating systems and AppleMac OS X. An unauthenticated remote attacker could execute shell commands by attaching malicious code in environment variables used by the operating system.
