Device Parameters Associate Device(s) Add new Airtopia devices to your account. Use friendly names that relate to the location of the Air System; e.g. Family Room, Master Bed & Lounge. Select Associate to finalise Configurating & Loading IR Codes Select the protocol field. With a working remote control for the Air Conditioner aim in the direction of the Airtopia IR receiver window, located as shown. The Airtopia control will respond (this may take 10 to 15 seconds) with an exact match or best fit for your remote. From the list on the right hand table Left Click and highlight the remote that best matches your system. TCP/IP For most installations the IP address of your unit should be left to the DHCP server to automatically assign. For installations utilising a home or building automation system it may be necessary to assign a static IP address to the device. To assign a static IP address (tick) the Static IP flag and enter your network parameters for IP address, SubNet Mask and Gateway. Wait for the refresh symbol to return a tick. Select Save and Back when complete. If you wish to revert the Airtopia controller to DCHP a reset may be necessary depending on the network parameters. To reset a device to default settings and DHCP press the reset button on the top right hand side the case for three seconds. Reset Switch Airtopia Software Installation Guide V1.1 6

Temperature Sensors Optional Zone Temperature Monitoring When an Airtopia Temperature Sensor 5100DTS-SM is connected to input terminals 1&2, a feedback of the Zone (room) temperature is now available for monitoring. Temperature sensor can be located anywhere in the zone with consideration of the following, ceiling height, radiant heat from windows and air flow around the sensor. Commonly installed half way up the wall near the air conditioner. NOTE: due to environment variables such as air flow and location of the sensors the monitored temperature may vary from the temperature sensor of the air conditioner. The temperature can be monitored on your automation system or directly through the Airtopia home screen. Installing the Airtopia Plaster Wall Plug 5100DTS-SM The 5100DTS-SM has a similar design to a softawall plaster plug but without the piecing blade on one end. The nylon cap houses the Temperature sensor and 150mm 2 core cable. From the controller we recommend extending. Create a 5 to 10mm hole in the plaster so that the extended wiring will specifically designed and manufactured by Airtopia for Soft-wall plaster installation. The mounting of the plug is sim. The nylon cap housing the sensor can be gyprock and painted to blend with installed environment. Wire can be extended to 300m using a CAT5 pair. The 5100DTS-SM is supplied with 150mm of insulated 2 pair for easy termination at the source. Installation is as simple as installing a wall mate and terminating 2 wires. Current Transformer Optional Power Usage & Status Monitor The Airtopia Current Transformer (CT) 5100CT80 must be installed by a licensed electrician. Installation must meet the requirements of the local Electrical Standards. When the CT is installed on the active power of the indoor unit it will provide feedback of the appliances ON or OFF status. When the CT is installed on the active power of the outdoor unit it can provide the approximate energy usage of the appliance. In the Current Transformer screen adjust the available parameters for your local area. Programmable Logic Coming soon A dry contact (closed circuit) can be programmed to execute a programmable event or schedule. A typical example is to send an OFF command to the appliance if the home alarm is set to armed, or if the room is unoccupied for 15 minutes set the temperature 2 degrees (setback) lower or high from the target temperature, until the room is occupied again. It can even be used to trigger a Demand Response from a smart meter. Account Edit and change account details, including password and user name. After you save these settings you will be required to enter them when you next login. Airtopia Software Installation Guide V1.1 7

Remote Control To access the controls for your air system select Remote. If the air system is OFF Slide or TAP the Power button to the right to open the available attributes for the selected air system. Zones If you have more than 1 Airtopia device associated with your account an alphabetical list of Zones is shown. Units not connected to the Airtopia WEB services will show as offline. Select the online air system you wish to control and the available attributes will load to the screen. IR Transmitter With the IR transmitter connected and positioned towards the Indoor Unit s IR window, the air system can be controlled from your device. The Indoor unit will normally beep to indicate it has received a command from the Airtopia controller. Sensors Optional If sensors are connected and enabled in the device parameters, you can view real-time temperatures, power usage and the status of the air system. Airtopia Software Installation Guide V1.1 8

Schedule Add Schedule Select [+] to start a schedule Create your time and days to run. Select the actions to send to the controller at the scheduled tim Save the Schedule. Schedule Label Coming Soon Give your Schedule labels to help identify their intention. Edit or Remove a Schedule Select the schedule from the summary list, and select to edit or remove. The Schedule home screen will display a summary of schedules set for your devices. Trouble Shooting Power A green glow will appear on the case edge when the device is power either from a plug pack or Power over Ethernet cable. For correct operation from a plug pack source voltage supplied must be between 12V to 48V ac or dc. Internet Access If your device is connected to the internet through the data port to your local area network (LAN) the data connector Left LED will be ON solid and the Right LED Flashing. If the Left LED is OFF you have no internet access. If the Right LED is flashing you have power and Local Area Network. If no LEDs are on you have no power from the PoE and no internet access. Temperature Sensor Terminals 1&2 Check the polarity of the sensor connection to the Airtopia controller. If the connections have been extended check cable connections. Consult your dealer. Black or Blue wire connected to terminal 1, Red or Brown wire connected to terminal 2. Airtopia Software Installation Guide V1.1 9

IR Blaster Terminals 3&4 Check that the IR Blaster cable polarity is correctly connected. Current Sensor Terminals 5&6 Check that the CT is enabled in Device Parameters, and that all fields are set correctly. IR Receiver Logic Input Terminals 7&8 (Coming Soon) Check that the Logic input is enabled in the Setting My Devices - Device Parameters fields. IR Receiver In the User App select Setting My Devices Protocol. Using a working remote control that was supplied with your air system point it in the direction of the IR Receiver slot on the Airtopia controller as shown. The signal received from the remote will be translated by the control and if available in the database a Manufacturer and Model number will appear. If your remote is not available on the database, email support@airtopia.global so that we can arrange to have it added free of charge. User Application If you are unable to login to your account, contact support@airtopia.global with your user name. A reset password will be emailed to you.
