New and Improved Features New and Improved Features Note: To see the latest features after the Administrator has upgraded Mindjet MindManager Server, users must clean their browser cache. SharePoint Site Explorer Assign multiple tasks to a single resource Mindjet Desktop maps created with Microsoft SharePoint Site Explorer are now supported within the MindManager Server browser editor. MindManager Server users can now view and edit these topics in the browser. Users can now assign multiple task topics to the same resource: Highlight the topics. Assign the resource. Click Send to Tasks. New MMAP button The new MMAP button now supports custom document library templates. Note: this feature is not supported in SharePoint 2007. Juniper SSL VPN bookmark Hyperlinks launch in a modal window Mindjet now supports the Juniper SSL VPN Concentrator bookmark feature. Instead of launching a new browser window or tab, hyperlinked SharePoint Task Topics now open in a SharePoint modal dialog window within the active map. This allows the user to see the original map while looking at the linked topic. Note: this feature is not supported in SharePoint 2007. Editing task queries Process indicator Assigning editor licenses SharePoint task queries are now editable in the MindManager Server browser. When performing a refresh process (for example, after loading a map), a progress spinner now displays to indicate that the map is not yet ready for use. When the spinner ceases, the process is completed and the map is ready for use. SharePoint Administrators now have the ability to assign a user to an editor license. Note: the Default behavior is still a pooled license until an Administrator decides to assign licenses to specific users. Relative URLs Hyperlinking now supports relative URLs. The Webpart Map Viewer now supports relative URLs. 1
New and Improved Features Updates to the SharePoint Task List s Status field Send Task button During Task synching, tasks in SharePoint are updated with the following status information: A "Complete %" of 0 sets Status to "Not Started." A "Complete %" between 0 and 99 sets Status to "In Progress." A "Complete %" of 100 sets Status to "Completed." If a topic is already a task, the Send Task button is now disabled. 2
Resolved Issues Resolved Issues Task lists with spaces result in broken links in browser. When trying to edit a map in the browser, MindManager Server displays a Permission Denied SharePoint error message, and the user cannot edit the map. In both the French and German versions, the decimal in the progress tip tool is in the English decimal format, not the European decimal format. Mindjet now uses a comma used for the decimal in both the French and German versions. When a query with complete range is created in the Mindjet desktop (Windows version), then opened in MindManager Server, it does not include tasks that are 100% complete. Resolved for queries in the range of 100% to 100%. In the German version, the Due Date search criteria in the task properties have an English date format. When the Internet Explorer browser window is expanded, extra white space appears at the bottom of the browser. When maximizing the browser window in Internet Explorer, IE does not refresh the viewer size. 3
Known Issues Known Issues Known Issues Web Clients When using the MindManager Server browser editor, there is a time lag when updating SharePoint topics. When updating SharePoint topics, wait for the sync to complete before updating the next topic. Verify a completed sync by watching the Refresh icon: the icon will gray out, then return to normal color once the topic update is completed. Known Issues Windows Users In certain setups, Internet Explorer 9 users who check out a.mmap file, then click the offered link to open the file will be prompted to download and save the map locally rather than open it in the browser. To open the map directly into the browser, highlight the file, and select View in Browser. If a topic with an embedded image is sent to a SharePoint task, the image will be removed from the topic. None Known Issues Mac Users Mindjet for Mac users are not able to open.mmap documents from SharePoint using the Edit in Mindjet desktop option in the SharePoint context menu. Download the map from SharePoint, then open the downloaded map in Mindjet for Mac. Using either the scroll wheel or the track pad will scroll the map, not the SharePoint page. Use the scroll bar on the side of the page. 4
