2. INSTALLATION 2.1 UNPACKING Unpacking the scale carefully. In the package you shall find: 1. this manual 2. the instrument 3. the option, if there is any. 4. AC adaptor 5. Accessory *keep the packing material if you might want to transport it again 2.2 BEST INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS There are many surrounding factors, which will affect the workability of the scale such as vibration, static electricity, airflow, humidity. These factors should be noted when you install the scale. *Stable and/or not subject to vibration *Not exposed to direct sunlight *Away from areas containing corrosive gas *Dust-free *Temperature 15-25 C *Humidity 95% or less *Away from other heavy duty electronic equipment, to avoid interference. *Away from heaters and air conditioners, to avoid sudden changes of temperature. 2.3 INSTALLATION PROCEDURES 1. Place the instrument in a location described above. 2. connect the instrument with load cells. 3. Ground the instrument. 4. Recharge the battery at least 10 full uninterrupted hours. 5. Calibration if necessary. 6. The scale is ready for operation. 2.4 LOAD CELL CONNECTION

5. CARE AND MAINTENANCE Precautions: 1. Do not attempt to disassemble the scale to clean it. 2. Do not submerge the scale in water, neither do pour or spray water on it directly. 3. Never use acetone or other volatile solvents such as thinner, alcohol, etc. to clean your scale. 4. When the platform is removed from cleaning, etc., be sure not to drop items such as pins, paper clips, etc. into the hole of subplatform. They may cause damages. 5. Be sure to screw the column of the platform into or out of the whole chassis lightly if you have to put it together or take it apart. Daily care: *Clean the scale with a soft damp cloth and /or a mild detergent.
