Syllabus for the Trade of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant under Apprenticeship Training Scheme (ATS) Duration of Training : Two Year First one year: - During first one year the apprentices will undergo the same syllabus for the trade of Computer Operator and Programming Assistant under CTS. Next one year: - The apprentice will undergo shop floor training in the related Establishment / Industry as per the under mentioned syllabus SR.NO. Shop floor Training I - To Operate and Handle Computers and Operating System 1 Keep Safety Measures and Precautions for Computer Usage 2 Must upkeep Basic Housekeeping of the office. 3 Identify and Classify basic Computer Components and Peripherals 4 Basic Handling of Computer Peripherals 5 Identification of Basic Operating Systems and their command usage 6 Understand the knowledge of Computer Networking 7 Basic level troubleshooting of Computers II - OFFICE AUTOMATION AND EDP 8 Upkeeping of the Computer System with all basic backups and recovery, Scanning of computers for viruses and scheduled backups as per company profile 9 Office Documentation and Administration 10 Data Management 11 Justified usage of Computers and Peripherals with efficiency 12 Justified usage of Computer Consumables like stationary etc. 13 Electronic Data Processing III - BASIC PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUES 14 Assisting the Programmer in basic program study 15 Preliminary identification of requirements 16 Algorithm and Flow Chart Designing 17 Helping in identifying Data, Types Data, Validation and its Flow 18 Helping in Coding the Program 19 Helping in Testing and Debugging 20 Prototyping of concepts to be developed 21 Project report
