Before you begin Before you begin This document describes the steps necessary to do a new install of CCC ONE Total Claims Solution. Open the CCC ONE package and make sure you have the following items. A mailer which also contains your initial Invitation Key and Access Code The CCC ONE USB Flash Drive Mailer and CCC ONE USB Flash Drive. Estimated time to complete CCC ONE installation: 55 minutes. (The installation may take longer depending on the computer hardware and users you have to set up.) 3
Plan your install Planning your install For optimal performance of CCC ONE, you should complete the following tasks before installing the program. Estimated time: 5 minutes Step Action 1 Make sure your primary computer is always turned on, connected to the Internet, and not set to go in to hibernation mode. Verify that you have a local account with administrator permissions. CCC ONE Update Manager requires this to keep your software up-to-date by automatically downloading data and program updates over the Internet. 2 Complete these steps on all computers you will install CCC ONE Estimating. Plan your install, Continued Planning your install, continued Step Action 5 To successfully install CCC ONE, you will need to log into Microsoft Windows using a local account administrator user name and password. If you do not have this information, contact your Computer Systems Administrator. If your Windows local administrator account is not configured with a password, you can: a. Create a separate Windows local administrator account containing a password b. Add a password to your existing Windows local administrator account As a result, it is recommended to specify an account for which the password does not expire. To update user account settings or create new accounts, navigate to: Windows Vista, Windows 7 - Start > Control Panel > User Accounts Windows 8, 8.1 - Start > Apps > PC Settings > Accounts Windows 10 Start > Settings > Accounts 5
Start the install Starting the install Insert the CCC ONE USB Flash Drive into an open USB port. The CCC ONE Welcome screen will open. Estimated time: 1 minute NOTE: If the CCC ONE Welcome screen does not automatically open, type d:\setup.exe in the Search field. If your USB port is assigned a letter other than d: use that letter. 6
Launch the CCC ONE Install Wizard Launching the CCC ONE Install Wizard From the Welcome to CCC ONE screen, follow the prompts and answer the questions throughout the installation program to install CCC ONE Update Manager and CCC ONE Program, Data, and Graphics. Estimated time: 20 minutes, depending on the computer hardware, and the Internet connection. 1. The Product Information screen lists important reminders about installing CCC ONE. Carefully read the information and click Next when you are ready to continue. 2. If you are installing CCC ONE on your primary computer, click No on the Confirm Prior Installation screen. Use the Confirm Installation Category screen to tell the Setup Wizard how you will use CCC ONE on this computer. Typically, both CCC ONE and CCC ONE Update Manager are installed on the same computer as a stand-alone. However, if you are going to use this computer to download updates only, just install CCC ONE Update Manager. 4. Read the requirements listed on this screen. If you need to prepare your computer before continuing with the installation, click the Cancel button. Otherwise, click the Next button. 5. The Update Manager Location screen lets you choose a folder on your computer s local hard drive where CCC ONE Update Manager will be installed. NOTE: CCC ONE Update Manager must be installed on only one computer at your location. 8
6. Next, select the time of day to check for updates and install them using the Daily Update Schedule screen. Select a time outside of your normal working hours for best results, and then click Next. NOTE: Your computer must be turned on, connected to the Internet, and not set to go into Hibernation mode for the Daily Update to work. Continued on next page 9

CCC ONE Update Manager requires a password protected Windows administrator local account to complete installation. If your Windows Administrator local account is not configured with a password, you can: a. Create a separate Windows administrator local account containing a password b. Add a password to your existing Windows administrator local account In order to download and install updates, CCC ONE Update Manager must always be configured with the latest password for the Windows local account specified. As a result, it is recommended to specify an account for which the password does not expire. NOTE: The CCC ONE program must be installed on a local hard drive, not a network drive. 9. Click the Install button on the Ready to Install screen to begin the installation. Continued on next page 11

As the Setup Wizard installs the various components of CCC ONE, the Installing Components screen displays the progress of the installation process. NOTE: Do not allow your computer to go into Hibernation mode as this will stop the installation process. 11. The Installation Complete screen displays a Summary of the instructions for installing CCC ONE on other network computers. NOTE: Click the Print button to print a Summary of this installation to assist you when installing CCC ONE on other network computers. 12
Install CCC ONE on other network computers (optional) Installing CCC ONE on other network computers This step is only necessary if you are installing CCC ONE on other computers on the same network. Use the installation Summary that you printed after installing CCC ONE on your primary computer as a guide for your next installation. 13
Log into CCC ONE Logging into CCC ONE 1. Open CCC ONE by double-clicking the icon on your Microsoft Windows desktop. The CCC ONE Welcome screen opens. 2. Enter your user name and password. Your CCC Implementation Team will provide these to you. 3. Click the Login button. 14
Run the First Time Use Wizard Running the First Time Use Wizard After you first log into CCC ONE, the first-time use wizard will run to help you set your user information and your communications preferences. In addition, if you currently use CCC Pathways, the firsttime use wizard will convert and import your workfiles, most profile information, and other data into CCC ONE. You will be able to set preferences such as labor prompts, rates, and other estimate options. Estimated time: 15 minutes NOTE: If you are upgrading from CCC Pathways, the first-time use wizard will convert and import your CCC Pathways data into CCC ONE. You will not be able to use either estimating system. Also, once the first-time use wizard has completed the conversion process, you will only be able to access your assignments and communicate your workfiles from CCC ONE. 15
Set up Profile Defaults Setting up profile defaults You must set up the following profile options before creating workfiles. Some of these settings may already be preconfigured depending on the insurance company guidelines. Estimated time: 5 minutes Select Configuration, then Profiles, and select Edit for your claim office profile. Click on the Parts link under Rates. Check the part categories to apply tax. Click on the Refinish link under Rules. Enter the refinish materials thresholds for each paint type. Click on the Total Loss Threshold link under Rules and click Edit. Enter the total loss percentage values for Standard and Older Models. Click OK. Select Save or Save and Close to save your changes. 16
Set up Alternate Parts and Recycled Suppliers Setting up Alternate and Recycled Parts suppliers On your primary computer, set up your Aftermarket, Optional OEM, Reconditioned, and Recycled Suppliers to make sure you have the most current Alternate Parts data. Estimated time: 5 minutes Select suppliers 1. Select Settings in the Configuration panel, then click on the Parts link. Select preferences for Alternate and Recycled parts. 2. Select Suppliers in the Configuration panel. Select the part type options in the left panel. From there click New Supplier. 3. Select one of the search criteria options, then click Search. NOTE: Depending on the Aftermarket Parts preference setting, you will only be able to add, edit, or delete recycled suppliers if you selected the YES option in Step 1. 18
Set up EMS Import and Export Setting up EMS You will have to set up the EMS import and export directory information in CCC ONE. This will allow you to import workfiles, assignment files and EMS files and to export workfiles and EMS estimate data. Estimated time: 5 minutes EMS export preferences, export and import settings 1. Select Configuration, then Settings. 2. Click on EMS Rules under Import/Export in the left panel, and then select EMS export rule options. 3. Click on File Export, then click Add. 4. Browse to the export directory, then select the type of export from the Export Type droplist and click OK. 19

Browse to the import directory and click OK NOTE: You will need to close and then log back into CCC ONE for these changes to take effect. IMPORTANT! You must set up your CCC ONE File Import and Export directories on all the computers where you installed CCC ONE. 20
Safely store the CCC ONE USB Flash Drive Once complete, remove your CCC ONE USB Flash Drive and store it safely. That s it! You are now ready to set up CCC ONE. IMPORTANT! About once a month, check the computer where you have installed CCC ONE Update Manager for any messages on the screen. After downloading and installing certain updates, CCC ONE Update Manager may ask you to restart the computer. If you do not restart the computer, your CCC ONE program may not work correctly.
