ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO51884) AFP TO PCL - IOCA IMAGE INCORRECTLY PRINTED When the CA Spool AFP to PCL Transformer option is used to print a document containing IOCA color images, some portions of the IOCA images are not printed correctly. This is specifically observed when the CA Spool AFP TO PCL C Transformers are used in conjunction with the PCL parameter Colors set to 2. Some portions of the IOCA images are not transformed correctly when printing the document. The document cannot be printed correctly. Set the PCL parameter Colors to 8 or 24. PRODUCT(S) AFFECTED: CA Spool r11.5 CSPOOL 1714 CUMULATIVE CHANGES TO C TRANSFORMER INTERFACE Several issues were reported for CA Spool's C transformer interface. The transform interface vendor has made cumulative maintenance available for CA Spool's C transformer interface. The build level of the transformer can be verified by looking at the A2xxREPT file, 'xx' can have the following values: 'PC' for AFP to PCL transformation 'PD' for AFP to PDF transformation 'PS' for AFP to Post Script transformation. The following statements are displayed at the top of the A2xxREPT file: Xenos d2e - AFP2PCL - v5.5 - build (Dec 12 2012, 13:22:40) Xenos d2e - AFP2PDF - v5.5 - build (Dec 12 2012, 13:22:34) Xenos d2e - AFP2PS - v5.5 - build (Dec 12 2012, 13:22:00) None. None. PRODUCT AFFECTED: CA Spool r11.5 CSPOOL 1717 TRANSFORMATION OF AFP TO PCL AND PDF IS LOOPING When an attempt to invoke the specific Medium Map is made, transformation of AFP to PCL or PDF is looping. This problem appears only when CA Spool's C transformers are used. Transformation is in the process until MAXCPU limit defined on X2YY parameter statement is reached. At that time, ABEND U322 occurs. Input file cannot be transformed. Transformer interface fails. None. PRODUCT AFFECTED: CA spool r11.5 CSPOOL 1729 Copyright (C) 2013 CA. All rights reserved. R00065-SPL117-SP1

ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO52828) ESF765 ESF OPEN FAILED, RC=PE, (PID=OUN) ISSUED BY XFER Due to the existence of certain attributes defined in the creating user's security profile, an 'lp' command will assign an invalid Output Descriptor name of '-SYSMRG-'. When the SAPI interface receives the file, an ESF765 message is issued regarding the Open failure that occurs due to the invalid Output Descriptor name. The original report of this problem occurred when the WADEPT attribute was defined in the user's security profile. However, there may be other attributes that cause the same behavior when the 'lp' command is used to create sysout files. The following error message is issued: ESF765 JES->ESF ERROR SYSOUT HELD ESF OPEN FAILED, RC=PE, STC09767 KODNA023, FILE 99999 (PID=OUN) Some files cannot be transferred from JES2 to Spool. Screen sizes larger than mod5 will cause CA Spool to display an error after a selection is made from the main menu. The ISPF menu will now support dynamic screen sizes. The screen width limit is 132. The number of rows can be any number as long as the total screen area, row * columns, is less than 11880. CA Spool's ISPF interface will fail with the following error: Data truncation occurred Data for CHAR format variable "EHCHD1" was too long. Data for CHAR format variable "EHCBUF" was too long. Users cannot make use of the larger screen sizes. Use a 3270 screen size where rows * columns is less than or equal to 3564. PRODUCTS AFFECTED: CSPOOL 1617 Copyright (C) 2012 CA. All rights reserved. ENTRIES = ++PTF (RO53306) DATASETS NOT BEING FREED When CA Spool's Dataset driver, TCPDRIV=DISK, is used and the userid associated with the creating job does not have sufficient access to create the file specified, an error condition is reported. If the DISP parameter setting is MOD, SHR or OLD, the following error messages are issued: ESF956 File # on printer DISK - SAM DS Open failed ESF954 File # on printer DISK - SAM DS Free failed - RC=12, Error=0358, Info=0000 As a result of the failure during FREE, the file is not released and an entry in the CA Spool TIOT remains in use for the file. If this scenario continues to occur, over time, space in CA Spool's TIOT will be exhausted. Any CA Spool interface that does a dynamic allocation after the TIOT is full will receive an ERROR/INFO code of x'238'. One possibility is that the SAPI Interface will issue an ESF763 message similar to the following: ESF763 JES->ESF INTERFACE - DYNAMIC ALLOCATION FAILED, RC=04, ERROR/INFO CODE=02380000, DSNAME='dsname' ESF956 File # on printer DISK - SAM DS Open failed ESF954 File # on printer DISK - SAM DS Free failed - RC=12, Error=0358, Info=0000 If the SAPI interface requests a file after the TIOT is full the following message will also appear: ESF763 JES->ESF INTERFACE - DYNAMIC ALLOCATION FAILED, RC=04, ERROR/INFO CODE=02380000, DSNAME='dsname' The CA Spool task should be recycled if the TIOT is full due to this situation. All users and interfaces of that CA Spool task will be impacted. In a single system environment or a MAS environment where the MAS members do not share all of the printers, there is no circumvention. In an EMAS environment, designating a new member as the network owner may allow the recycle of the affected region to be delayed or to have less impact than it has in a single system or MAS environment.
