AT60142H/HT Rad-Hard 512Kx8 Very Low Power CMOS SRAM ERRATA-SHEET Active Errata List 1. Reading Error Errata History Lot Number Errata List All AT60142H lots 1 All AT60142HT lots 1 Abbreviations ATE : Automated Test Equipment

1 Errata Description 1.1 Reading error Issue: An extension of the issue reported on the AT60142F/FT errata-sheet (7776E-AERO-06/08) has been observed on the H/HT versions at application level. However, Atmel has been unable to reproduce it on ATE despite intensive tests and design simulations. This document aims to provide guidelines to work around the issue. Failure conditions The list of symptoms reported below shall not be considered as exhaustive: The memory content is not corrupted as the issue concerns read operations only, The issue was a 0 read fail (expected 0 wrongly read as 1 ) most of time but a 1 read fail (expected 1 wrongly read as 0 ) may also occur, The issue occurs on bits 5 and/or 6 most of the time but other bits may be impacted, The issue depends on the timing of the chip select versus the address bus, The issue is mainly observed in typical conditions (room temperature, nominal voltage) but the entire temperature and voltage ranges must be considered. Issue description: Considering the address bus at T0 time, there is a risk of read errors when the chip select () is driven low within the timing window [T0-TAVAV, T0]. T0-TAVAV T0 Time Read cycle triggered by address Read cycle triggered by chip select Un Case 1 : no read errors Un Case 2 : risk of read errors Un Case 3 : no read errors 2

Workaround: To work around the issue, the system shall be designed to have read operations in accordance either with case 1 or case 3 only. To meet this condition, it may be necessary to delay the signals to get out of case 2. There are two solutions: a) delay the entire address bus (A[]) for case 1, b) or delay the chip select () for case 3. However it is obvious that solution b) is the easiest to implement. The aging analysis conducted by Atmel show that the parameters defining the separation window does not change throughout the lifetime of the product. 3
