Time and Date is kept accurate even when the AC adaptr is discnnected as lng as fresh batteries are installed. Fr nrmal peratin, please install batteries AND cnnect the unit t an AC surce via the AC adaptr. The unit des nt have a pwer switch. Battery Warning, Installatin and Replacement 1. When the lw battery icn appears in the display, the batteries are weak and shuld be replaced as sn as pssible. 2. T replace r install batteries, remve the Philips head screw that secures the rear battery cver and lift ff the cver. 3. Replace the six (6) AAA batteries (use alkaline, heavy duty type), bserving plarity. 4. Replace and secure the cver. Never dispse f used batteries r rechargeable batteries in husehld waste. As cnsumers, users are legally required t take used batteries t apprpriate cllectin sites, the retail stre where the batteries were purchased, r wherever batteries are sld. Dispsal: D nt dispse f this instrument in husehld waste. The user is bligated t take end-f-life devices t a designated cllectin pint fr the dispsal f electrical and electrnic equipment. Other Battery Safety Reminders Never dispse f batteries in a fire. Batteries may explde r leak. Never mix battery types. Always install new batteries f the same type. 4
Munting and Wiring The SD750 can be placed n a tabletp using the supplied tilt stand, it can be wall munted using the rear munting access hles, r it can be laid flat n a desktp r ther surface. Up t three 4-20mADC pressure transducers (tw-wire) can be cnnected t the bttm f the SD750 as shwn in the diagram belw. Wiring fr 2-wire transmitters must be cnfigured exactly as shwn in the diagram. Only the tw terminals n the right fr each channel grup are t be used. The tw terminals n the left fr each channel grup are unused. Signal psitive (S+) and Pwer psitive (V+) are cnnected t the same terminal as shwn in the diagram belw. Signal negative (S ) and Pwer negative (V-) are cnnected t the same terminal as shwn belw. 5
Set Mde Befre taking measurements and datalgging, the SD750 must be cnfigured t match the applicatin and transducers in questin. The SET mde is used t accmplish the fllwing: Frmat a SD memry card Set the clck date and time Set the sampling time (datalgging capture rate) Set the beeper sund ON/OFF Set the meter t use a decimal (US) r a cmma (EU) fr readings stred n the SD card Set the RS232 data utput stream ON/OFF Set CH1, CH2, and CH3 pressure sensr parameters t match the transducer(s) being used Set the Pressure unit f measure (all channels use the same unit f measure) Nte: The datalgger functin must be switched OFF befre attempting t enter SET mde. SET MODE MENU T enter the SET mde, press and hld the SET buttn fr > 2 secnds, and then release. SET will flash quickly n the display and the symbl fr the first Menu item Sd F (frmat SD card) will appear. Measurements When the meter is prperly pwered, munted, cnfigured, and wired t the transducers as described earlier, the meter can begin t be used t accurately display pressure readings. The meter s LCD shws the Channel 1 input reading n the tp, the Channel 2 reading in the center, and the Channel 3 reading n the bttm as shwn belw. If the x100 indicatr is flashing n the display, multiply the displayed reading by a factr f 100 t btain the crrect reading. The unit f measure shwn t the right f the Channel 2 reading applies t all channels. Select the unit f measure as described in the SET MODE sectin. 8
Datalgging 1. Open the left side dr and insert an SD card SD Cnsideratins: The SD card shuld be at least 1GB in capacity. 4GB is the maximum size recmmended, althugh a card f up t 16GB can be accmmdated. D nt use memry cards frmatted by ther meters r cameras. Use the SD card frmatting prcedure included in the SET MODE sectin f this manual. If a SD memry card is nt installed, an errr message will appear in the display. Displayed errr messages: CH- CArd The memry card is full r there is a prblem with the card LbAt N CArd The battery is lw and datalgging is disabled The SD card is nt inserted 2. Prgram the meter as described in the SETUP MODE sectin f this guide. 3. Press the LOGGER buttn fr >2 secnds t begin lgging. DATALOGGER will appear in the display and the meter will beep each time data is recrded (if beeper is enabled in SET mde). 4. T stp datalgging, press the LOGGER buttn fr > 2 secnds. DATALOGGER will change t DATA and the meter will cunt dwn thrugh the recrded data list reading by reading. Imprtant Nte: Never remve the SD memry card while the datalgger is running. SD Card Data Structure 1. When the SD card is first inserted int the datalgger the flder PSB01 is created n the card. 2. The first datalgging sessin will then create a file PSB 01001.xls. All data will be saved t this file until the number f clumns reaches 30,000. 3. After 30,000 clumns, a new file (PSB01002.xls) is created. This is repeated every 30,000 clumns until PSB01099.xls. At this pint a new flder, PSB02 is created and the prcess is repeated; PSB10 is the final flder. 9
Transferring Data t a PC 1. Remve the memry card frm the datalgger and plug it int the SD card slt n the PC. Fr PCs that d nt include an SD card reader, external SD card readers are generally available and can be cnnected t the PC s USB jack. 2. Launch Excel and pen the data file n the memry card frm within the spreadsheet prgram. The file will appear similar t the ne shwn belw. Quick Check the Time, Date, and Sample Rate Settings Press and Hld the TIME buttn fr > 2 secnds and the display will autmatically cycle thrugh the date, time and sample rate infrmatin. T edit these settings please refer t the SET mde sectin f this guide. 10
