Initial Setup Once your HomeKit product is plugged in or installed, it will automatically present itself on the Connected Dashboard to be added to your Home. Tap on the product to begin the pairing process. 6
Initial Setup Connect to Wi-Fi Network Your HomeKit product will immediately connect to your home s Wi-Fi network. Tapping on Next will connect your product to the selected network. Get Setup Once your product is connected to your network, you can begin customizing your home by tapping the Customize My Home button. If you have already set up a home, skip to setting up your product (page 10). 7
Set Up Home Name Your Home Give your Home a custom name or select from one of the suggested names and photos to make it easy to recognize. Adding a Photo Add a custom photo of your Home by taking one with your phone s camera or use the app s default image. Setup Complete When setup is complete, you will need to create a Room to store your products. 8

Set Up Product Pairing Product To begin customizing your product, you will be prompted to enter the unique 9-digit code provided on the Quick Start Guide. The screen to enter your code may look different based on the ios version you are currently running. 10
Set Up Product Name Your Product Give your new product a custom name or select from one of the suggested names and photos to make it easy to recognize. Setup Complete You can now begin using your new HomeKit product. 11
Home Dashboard The Home Dashboard is the central location that holds your rooms and products. Swipe along the room navigation bar to view the products within different rooms. You can quickly dive into rooms or products by tapping on them or use the menu to access all the options. 12
Menu Menu Button Tapping this icon will bring you to the menu. Menu Options The menu provides you access to your entire home and all the features of the idevices Connected app. For example you can: View and manage your Zones View and manage your Rooms View your products by service type Add and manage products View and manage your Scenes Track your energy usage Edit your Home Switch Homes 13
Zones Zones are a collection of Rooms in your Home that you can control simultaneously. The Zone Navigation screen provides a high-level view of all of your created Zones for easy access. 14
Zones Edit Zone Tapping Edit under the zone name will let you modify the details for the Zone. You can change the name and photo, add or remove rooms from the Zone, and delete the Zone. Product List The products included in this zone are displayed and can be controlled with a tap of the toggle to the right of each product. Included Scenes Tap Included Scenes to view all Scenes that include this Zone. 15
Rooms Organize all of your products into the individual room in which they live. The Room Navigation screen provides a highlevel view of all the Rooms within your Home for easy access. 16
Rooms Edit Room Tapping Edit under the room name will let you modify the details for the Room. You can change the name and photo, add or remove products from the Room, and delete the Room. Product List The products included in this room are displayed and can be controlled with a tap of the toggle to the right of each product. Included Scenes Tap Included Scenes to view all Scenes that include this Room. 17
Products The Product Navigation screen provides a high-level view of all the product types within your Home for easy selection. Here you can also master control a group of product types with the master toggle. 18
Products Control The detailed product view allows you to control all the aspects of your HomeKit products. Available controls are based on the product. Edit Product Tapping Edit under the product name will let you modify the details for the product. Options are based on the product, but you can always change the name and photo, change the room it is in and remove the product from your Home. Night Light Change the hue, saturation and brightness of your Switch s night light. Energy Use View the current draw and average daily use. Included Scenes Tap Included Scenes to view all Scenes that include this Product. 19
Edit Home Edit Home Photo and Name The photo for your home can be edited quickly by tapping the camera icon. Tap on the current home name to edit it. Users Add or remove Users to your Home by tapping Users. Edit/Create Edit and/or create Zones, Rooms and Products from the Edit Home menu. Delete Home Deleting your Home will remove all saved products, Rooms, Zones and Scenes. Default Home Making a Home your default Home will set up new products within in this Home. 20
Scenes Set up customized Scenes within the app to control multiple products with a single command. 21
Creating Scenes Select Products When creating a Scene, first select which products you would like to be included in your Scene. Assign Product Action Give your product a designated action to complete when the Scene is triggered. 22
Creating Scenes Naming a Scene It helps to name your Scene based on the actions within it. For example, Going To Bed may turn off all of your lights and turn your thermostat down. Siri will recognize this name as well, making it simple to use voice commands to set scenes. Adding a Schedule You can choose to add a schedule to your scene if you want it to be set automatically. Add a schedule for your Scene by selecting the days and time you would like to set the scene. You can add multiple schedules if you want the scene to be set more than once in a day. 23
Siri Control all of the HomeKit products in your Home with Siri. Siri can also activate Scenes or control an entire Room or Zone with a single voice command. 24
