Nextiva Drive The Setup Process The Setup Process Adding Users 1. Login to your account and click on the Account icon at the top of the page (this is only visible to the administrator). 2. Click Create New User 3. Enter the name and email address of the person being invited to the account. 4. If desired, set reserved area, if you chose to set "0 GB" available space will be allocated dynamically among all users. 5. Set the user s permissions. This will determine whether the user is able to write or upload to the root folder. 6. Click Save. The person that you just added will now receive an email with an invitation to the account from you. The email contains a link to complete registration. Upon registration, the user only needs to enter a username, a password and a secret question. After clicking Save, a list of users is shown and allows you to see the status of those you have invited, for example if they have completed their registration or not. 1

Click the first name of the user you wish to edit (or select the checkbox before the name, then select Edit from the Manage menu) 3. You can now change the reserved area or permissions for the user. 4. Select Save when finished. 2

Select the group to which users should be added from the Add to group menu above. The Setup Process Uploading Files 1. Login to your account and click on the My files icon at the top of the page. 2. Click the Store button (next to Manage). This will open another window. Drag and drop the files you wish to upload onto this window. Alternately, you may click on the or use our basic uploader link at the bottom of the page to search for the file, then click Open. 4

Click on the filename of the stored file you wish to download. This will automatically download the file to your computer. The Setup Process Deleting Files 1. Login to your account and click on the My files icon at the top of the page. 2. Select the checkbox next to the file you wish to delete. You can select multiple files to be deleted. 3. Then, select Delete from the Manage menu. 4. A dialogue box will appear. Click Ok to move the selected files to the Recycle bin. 5

Click on Recycle bin in the left column. 3. Select the checkbox next to the file you wish to restore. You can select multiple files to be restored. 4. Then, select Restore from the Manage menu. 5. The files will then be placed in the folder they were initially deleted from. 6

Click on Recycle bin in the left column. 3. Select the checkbox next to the file you wish to permanently delete. You can select multiple files to be permanently deleted. 4. Then, select Permanently delete selected from the Manage menu. 5. A dialogue box will appear. Click Ok to permanently delete the selected files. 7
Nextiva Drive The Setup Process The Setup Process Creating Folders 1. Login to your account and click on the My files icon at the top of the page. 2. Then, select Create New Folder from the Manage menu. 3. Name your folder and click Save. 8

Select the checkbox next to the file (or files) you wish to move. 3. Then, select Move from the Manage menu. 4. A pop up will appear prompting you to select the folder you wish to move the file to. Select the folder then click Ok. 9
Nextiva Drive The Setup Process The Setup Process Sharing Files/Folders 1. Login to your account and click on the My files icon at the top of the page. 2. Select the checkbox next to the files or folders you wish to share. 3. Then, select Share from the Share menu. 4. A pop up will appear prompting you to select how you wish to share your content. In this popup you will be provided with a direct link to your content as well as the option to send the link to an email address. You can also set up a password for your shared content. 5. Click Ok when done. 10

Select the checkbox next to the files or folders you wish to un-share. 3. Then, select Remove Share from the Share menu. 4. A dialogue box will appear. Click Ok to delete the selected shares. 4. Click on the link under Nextiva Drive appropriate to your operating system. This will download the executable installation file. 3. Open the file. Follow the prompts on the screen to allow for the installation. 4. When the installation completes, select the checkbox to launch the program and click Finish. Desktop Client Setup 1. Launch the program. 2. Click Next on the Setup screen. 3. Enter your Username and Password on the following screen and click Next. 4. The next screen will prompt you to name your Backup. Click Ok. 5. You will then be prompted to select the files/folders you wish to back up. Do so, and click Ok. 6. Choose you settings for locally deleted files then click Ok. 7. A quick tour of Nextiva Drive will then start. Click Next until you reach the The installation is complete screen. Click Finish on this screen. 12
Nextiva Drive Application Desktop Client Status Screen At the Status screen, you will see the most recent uploaded and downloaded files along with the time the backup/recoveries occurred. This screen also displays the remaining time left on an active backup. 1. This indicates when your next backup is scheduled to occur. 2. Click here to force a back up. 3. Click here to view your backup online. 4. Click here to restore a backup. 5. Here is a list of your most recent backups. 13

Select general folders you wish to back up here. 2. Click here to select specific files and folders to back up 3. Click here to view your backup online. 4. Click here to restore a backup. 14
Nextiva Drive Application Desktop Client Settings Screen In the Settings screen, you can change how often and when a backup takes place and whether or not you d like to be notified when a backup is complete. You may also choose to have the application start when Windows starts. 1. Your log in credentials are stored here. 2. Alter the application s preferences here. 3. Select the intervals at which backups to occur. 4. Designate the amount of bandwidth the Nextiva Drive uses while backing up your files. 15
Nextiva Sync Application Desktop Client Download & Install 1. Login to your account and click on the Downloads link at the top of the page. 2. Click on the link under Nextiva Sync appropriate to your operating system. This will download the executable installation file. 3. Open the file. Follow the prompts on the screen to allow for the installation. 4. When the installation completes, select the checkbox to launch the program and click Finish. Desktop Client Setup 1. Launch the program. 2. Click Next on the Nextiva Sync Installer screen. 3. Enter your Username and Password on the following screen. Upon logging in, you will, by default, arrive at the Nextiva Drive screen of the app. From this screen you can: View your recently uploaded images and documents. Access all of your stored files. From this screen you can upload photos right from your mobile device. 2. You can specify which folder within your Nextiva Drive you would like the uploaded content to be saved to by tapping the Choose folder button. 3. Once you select where you would like the files uploaded to, you will be taken to Photo folders on your phone. Select the photos you wish to upload and tap the Upload button in the upper right corner. 19

From this screen you can view and change your Nextiva Drive settings. These include: Your Nextiva Drive Username. Whether you d like the app to remember your Username.
