OP1021 Launch Condition Analyzer System Encircled Flux Encircled Flux The Launch Condition Analyzer characterizes connectors, fiber components, and provides graphs illustrating how light exits the fiber. The analyses ensure conformity to industry standards. Nearfield Analyzer The Nearfield (NF) describes the optical power density on the surface of a radiating source or the end of a fiber. The nearfield measurement can determine the refractive index profile of multimode fibers and the fiber s mode filling, launch condition, and Encircled Flux. Farfield Analyzer The Farfield (FF) measurement is the optical power density of a source or fiber end on a surface measured at a radial distance. The farfield measurement can determine the numerical aperture of fibers. In addition, the farfield measurement technique is used to perform a mode field diameter measurement per TIA/EIA-455-191A, a measurement instrumental in the development and qualification of SM fiber. OP1021 Farfield Scan Range Nearfield Scan Range Wavelength Range Optical Power Range Optical Interface Mechanical Dimensions Analysis Software -0.5 NA to +0.5 NA (-0.5rad to +0.5rad) resolution: 2.2 mrad 250µm, 0.1µm resolution 850nm to 1700nm (InGaAs) 450nm to 1100nm (Silicon) +20dBm.. -45dBm Universal 2.5mm, 1.25mm, 1.6mm Standard 19 rack, 3U Farfield scans Nearfield scans Encircled Flux per IEC OP752-MOD Modal Conditioner With the OptoTest OP752 Multichannel Modal Conditioner, you can quickly meet critical launch condition requirements like Encircled Flux, M80 or 70/70 fill for multichannel test setups. When used in conjunction with the OptoTest Multichannel LED Sources (OP750 Series) or Return Loss Meters (OP940 Series), launch conditions can be met without the need for external mandrel wraps. OP-LCKIT Launch Condition Kit Meeting critical launch condition requirements is often difficult or overlooked. With the OptoTest Launch Condition Kit, it is easier than ever to meet specifications for many common launch conditions. The OP-LCKIT produces a controlled launch and can be specified for common connector types (FC, SC, LC, etc.) with UPC or APC polish, fiber size (50µm, 62.5µm, etc.), and to meet launch conditions such as Encircled Flux, M80, or 70/70 fill.
Adapters OptoTest s wide selection of detector adapters make testing most common types of connectors easy and allows for the highest level of accuracy. All of OptoTest s detectors that are 3mm and smaller come with the Universal Adapter Interface, which accommodates our AD family of detector adapters for most simplex connector types. Detectors that are 5mm and larger utilize the Large Area Detector Interface, which correspondingly accepts our LAAD family of adapters. AD-125 AD-ST AD-FC AD-LC AD-25 AD-E2 All adapters are interchangeable within their family to allow for fast and accurate testing of hybrid and fanout cables, and to allow for changes in test setups for different cable types. LAAD-MTP LAAD-MT LAAD-FC Integrating Sphere The OP-SPHR Integrating Sphere is designed as a costeffective solution for optical testing of fibers terminated with high-density connectors such as MTP /MPO or bare fiber. The Integrating Sphere works by reflecting and evenly distributing the light over the entire surface of the internal cavity, making Insertion Loss (IL) measurements stable and repeatable with low polarization dependence. The screw-on design is ideal for implementing into new or existing Test Systems to accommodate up to 72 fibers, and can be used with all OptoTest 1mm and 3mm detector designs.
