The notebook should be named 'Training' and the folder should be named 'Exercises'. 2. Create three new sections for the notebook. They must be titled 'Word', 'Excel' and 'PowerPoint'. Tip! Rename the section automatically created for Word and then create two new sections.

3. Create two pages for each section. They should be titled 'Courses' and 'Administration'. 4. List each Administration page as a subpage.

5. Move the sections so that are in alphabetical order, i.e. Excel at the far left and Word at the far right. 6. Click somewhere high up on the Courses page in the Excel section. Type: Excel Basic Training. Press Enter and type: Excel Ongoing Training. Do the same for the Word and PowerPoint sections, i.e. type PowerPoint Basic Training and PowerPoint Advanced Training, and so on.

7. Create a new page for each section. It should be named 'Documentation' and have the Books page template. You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise.

Exercise 2 - Working with items Exercise 2 - Task 1 - Bullet point and numbered lists Open the Training notebook, Excel section and Administration page. 1. Create a bullet point list anywhere in the working area. The list should include the following points: Open course content Produce course documentation Upload courses to the Internet Book course venues Marketing Then change to a numbered list.

You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise. Exercise 2 - Task 2 - Tables 1. Continue working with the Training notebook. Open the Word section and the Documentation page. 2. Insert a table with 3 columns and 3 rows. 3. Fill in the table as follows: 4. Insert 2 rows and fill them in. Delete row 2 and 3 (so that the software versions are included) and format the headings in blue according to the image.

You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise. Exercise 2 - Task 3 - Draw 1. Continue working with the Training notebook, Word section and Documentation page. 2. Draw a red cross over the Word 2013 Basic Training and Word 2013 Advanced Training table rows. Draw a bracket just to the right and write the words 'run together' next to the bracket. You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise.

Exercise 2 - Task 4 - Converting notes into text 1. Continue working with the Training notebook, Word section and Documentation page. Convert the words 'run together' into digital text. 2. If the square brackets disappear, they must be redrawn. You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise.

Exercise 2 - Task 5 - Calculations Costs 1. Continue working with the Training notebook, Word section and Documentation page. You are going to calculate the cost for the documentation. 2. Type the following text somewhere under the table. Format the heading font so that is somewhat enlarged and bold. 1,500 x Word Basic Course, 120 pages SEK 159,000 750 x Word Advanced Course, 153 pages SEK 112,500 3. Now calculate the price of each book. Type and calculate the following formulas in a new placeholder: 159000/1500 = 106 112500/750 = 150 You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise.

Exercise 2 - Task 6 - Attach a file In this exercise you will learn how to attach a copy of a file and add a link to another. 1. Continue working with the Training notebook, Word section and Documentation page. You will now attach a copy of the Word Basic Course book and add a link to the Word file 'checklist'. Tip! Use the 'drag-and-drop' technique, i.e. drag the files to the OneNote page. You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise. Exercise 2 - Task 7 - Links In this exercise you will learn how to link information from the Internet Explorer web browser to OneNote. 1. Continue working with the Training notebook. 2. Create a new section and name it 'Documentation'. 3. Type in the heading 'Shortcuts'. 4. Create a list somewhere on the page with the following in-row text: Excel documentation Word documentation PowerPoint documentation

Exercise 2 - Task 8 - Send information from the Internet to OneNote Now you will learn how to send information from an Internet Explorer website to OneNote. 1. Open Internet Explorer and enter the address www.lexicon.se. 2. Select any course, so that you have a text that can be highlighted. Highlight and right-click the text and send it to OneNote's Documentation section and the Shortcuts page. You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise.

Exercise 2 - Task 9 - Screen Clipping In this exercise you will learn how to attach a picture of a person from Internet Explorer in OneNote. 1. Start Internet Explorer and browse for a picture of a person. 2. Go to the Training notebook and create a new section named 'Teacher'. The page should also be named 'Teacher'. 3. Click on the Screen Clipping command in OneNote and highlight the picture, which will then be attached automatically with the web address, date and time. You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise.

Exercise 3 - Linking between OneNote and Outlook Task 1. Create a new section in the Training notebook and name it 'Diverse'. Move the section so that it is positioned on the far left. 2. To practice attaching various types of tags, type the following unstructured list: Don't forget. Yes, I want to take part. Visit our website. Ask if they have OneNote courses. Lock all doors. Read carefully. I have an idea.

3. Place suitable tags at every text row. Adapt a few existing tags and create a few new ones. 4. Search for all tags in the Training notebook. They will be shown in their own task pane. Try grouping them in all the different ways possible. Then close the task pane.

5. Flag with the Ask tag if they have courses in OneNote to Outlook tasks. Set the flag priority to tomorrow. Switch over to Outlook and check that the task has been recorded correctly. Switch back to OneNote. 6. Send the nameless page that can be found on the top of the Diverse section as an e-mail message to yourself. Switch over to Outlook to see the message. (Stay in Outlook for the next step).

7. Highlight any e-mail in Outlook and send it to OneNote. Select the Diverse section as the destination. Switch over to OneNote and note that the message has been given a new page of its own. The page has received the same name as the e-mail subject heading. 8. Switch back to Outlook again and access your calendar. 9. Highlight any existing appointment and link it to OneNote and the Diverse section. Note that once again a new page has been created and named. The page name is taken from the heading of the Outlook appointment. You will continue to work with the Training notebook in the next exercise.

Exercise 4 - Attach multimedia Task 1. Open the Training notebook. Create a new section and name it 'Multimedia'. Name the introduction page 'Audio and Video' by typing this in the heading. 2. Move the Multimedia section to the far left. 3. Attach a recorded image (video) of yourself. The video only needs to be 5-10 seconds long but you can, of course, record a longer video if you'd like. Play back the image (video) and view your work.

4. Attach an audio clip of yourself saying a few words. Play back the audio clip and listen to your voice.
