Extended Product Lifecycle Unlike commercial motherboards with a typical lifespan of 12 to 18 months, motherboards in embedded computing applications, where design processes can last as long as two years, 3-5 year life cycles are a must. To deliver long life products, ARBOR selects key components that offer long life availability. Parts do go end of life, but ARBOR manages that process by making sure component revision and EOL notifications are made at least 60-days before occurring, helping customers facilitate smooth transitions. As a result, engineering changes are kept to a minimum. 03

Automated Conformal Coating Services ARBOR provides the automated conformal coating service, with an acrylic coating being applied to the whole surface of the board except contact pins, to protect the components & circuitry against dust, fungus, moisture and salt spray. Conformal coating also prevents short circuits and corrosion of metal between conductors. Using automated conformal coater equipment and industry-leading HumiSeal coating materials, ARBOR s conformal coating solution can offer a stable quality and long-lasting life span for applications in harsh industrial environments. Single Board Computer/ Industrial Motherboard An Efficient Implementation of a Winning Design ARBOR s main boards are designed based on standard industry form factors to allow system upgrades without much concern on compatibility. The ARBOR main boards come with standard mounting holes and I/O shield designed to reduce cabling and total cost. Customers, who require industrial features such as long life cycle support, added reliability, and ruggedness, should evaluate ARBOR s main board series as an alternative to consumer orientated platforms. Similar to the Computer-on-Module series, ARBOR has developed a wide-temperature main-board model along with the standard temperature version to meet critical environmental conditions when required. Compact Boards ARBOR s compact boards are designed around the powerful core logic embodied within the chipsets from Intel and AMD. Highly integrated designs allow them to fit the minimal /critical space requirements of most embedded applications. Conformal Coating Services Upon customer requests, ARBOR will offer conformal coat products. Using a non-conductive layer applied to the whole surface of the board except contact pins, to protect the onboard circuitry against moisture, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes or other environmental factors, conformal coating also increases isolation resistance among components.
