Rasterizing (RIPping) is only a function of Click to Clunk time. The relationship between the variables that impact overall print speed (Client processing time, Network transfer speed, RIP time, and copier pages per minute) is not linear. Therefore, increasing the RIP speed by x% does not increase the total system (Click to Clunk) by x%. The maximum speed at which the system can print is limited by the engine speed. NOTES: The Oversize Transparency Option must be used for printing transparencies larger than letter / A4. Splash E320 fully support the DocuColor 5750 sorter options for both collated and uncollated sorted jobs with the exception of transparencies (Transparencies cannot be sorted).. A server-generated cover page is provided except for Bypass, Sorter and Separation jobs When the Splash Server is scanning, the Splash server software must be exited. The server must be relaunched after scanning to be available directly on the network. Printer Driver Support The Splash Windows PostScript Level 2 driver is required to provide properly networked PC clients access to all PostScript Level 2 printing features. The Splash 3.11 Windows driver v3.0.1 is built upon the Adobe PostScript Level 2 driver. Any Windows applications not supported by the Adobe driver are not supported by the Splash driver. The Splash Printer Description Files are also supplied for LaserWriter 8. users for full functionality. Color Management / Calibration Splash ColorCal uses the scanner on the DocuColor 5750 to enable a simple, verifiable calibration process (AutoCal without a densitometer). Optional Kits UNI TCP / IP Kit Option UNI TCP / IP Kit is a purchasable option Sun O/S is not currently supported. CD ROM must be mounted on the network. New queues need to be defined for each desired set of Splash functions. The kit does not provide a means to retrieve a scanned image from the server. Splash E320 Memory Upgrade Kit Splash v4.0 to v5.0 Upgrade Kit is a purchasable option This kit upgrades the Splash to 64 MB memory. The upgraded Splash will connect only to the DocuColor 5750. This kit does not enable any IOT but the DocuColor 5750.
