Open a browser and navigate to ecuwebex.ecu.edu. The Webex login page opens. Click the green Sign In button. The ECU login dialog box opens. 2. Type in your PirateID/passphrase. 3. First-time users may be prompted to install the Webex Productivity Tools which allow you to schedule meetings from Outlook and join meetings from your desktop. Schedule a Meeting Using Outlook Install the Webex Productivity Tools First 1. First, download and install the Webex Productivity Tools. Either click the green Download Now button when you login for the first time OR click the Download button from the top menu bar. The Downloads page opens. 2. Save the ptools.msi file to your computer. 3. Navigate to the ptools.msi file (Downloads folder, desktop, where your browser saves downloads). 4. Double-click the file and follow the prompts to install the tools. Click the Finish button. The Webex Assistant opens. Make sure that ecuwebex.ecu.edu is entered in the text box. Click Next. 5. Log in using your PirateID/passphrase. Page 5
6. The Webex authentication process completes. The following Web page opens. 7. Restart Microsoft Outlook to see the Webex icons in the toolbar. 8. Click the Schedule Meeting icon to open a calendar request. The Schedule Meeting dropdown includes features like Go to Webex Site and Help. Page 6
Use the Meet Now Feature Available from the Web interface or the Outlook interface Meet now allows you to invite colleagues to a meeting right now. 1. In Outlook, click the Meet Now icon 2. The Webex meeting interface opens. A dialog box prompts you to invite attendees by email. Page 7
3. From the Web interface, click the Meet Now tab. 4. Enter invitees email addresses. Join a Meeting Presenters: From the Webex host email, click the Start the meeting link. The browser screen below opens. Run any plugins, if prompted. To join the meeting s audio by phone, enter your office number in the dialog box. You will receive a call from Cisco Webex and will hear the audio through the handset while looking at the meeting on your computer screen. Click the Share My Desktop drop-down menu to share a file, presentation or program. Click the Record button for a recording of the meeting. Page 8
