CONNECTING MP4 PLAYER TO A PC 3 When you connect the player to your PC will see the below display on your screen. The arrow signifies which direction the files are being transferred towards. 34

SECRET SPACE 3 Some MP3 users may worry about divulging their private data. They do not want others to find private information contained in the player and therefore that data has to be removed before they lend their own MP3 player to others. It would otherwise cause some trouble. However, this problem has totally been solved by the SECRET SPACE technique! You can use the provided software to divide the whole USB disk into two parts, and encrypt one of them. You can move your private data into the encrypted part; and they will be protected by a password. To active SECRET SPACE : Connect your player to your PC Run MP3 Player Disk Tool which can be found in the provided CD-ROM: Click Allocate and Encrypt tab, it will allocate appropriate space and allow you to set the username and password, and then click Start. 35

36 3

37 3

After the 'space allocation' value is set, as shown below: Click OK to restart. 3 After you have restarted, you will find two disk drives (but only one disk will be seen on Windows 2000 SP4 or prior). Click the encrypted disk (the second one), you will find three files, two are hidden, one is executable. Run the executable file RdiskDecrypt.exe and input your username and password. If all are correct, the disk will be opened and files can be copied into it. You must enter the username and password each time you wish to access the encrypted disk. WARNING: Dividing (i.e. formatting) one disk into parts will remove all data, and the same applies during the combining process. WARNING: Please remember your username and password. If you forget it, you can only make use of the combine process which will lose (i.e. format) all encrypted data. 38

CONVERT VIDEO FILES INTO AMV 3 This program is used to convert video files into AMV format, currently only WMV format is supported. Run AMV Convert Tools Click this to choose the folder where to save the AMV files. Click this to select the folder where the original files are. Select unprocessed AMV files, be highlighted into and a then click. The icon will dialog box will be shown.
