RELEASE 20.0.27 EV 223045: THIN CLIENT POUNDS XSP WHEN XSP SHUTS DOWN Thin Clients keep polling XSP regularly when multiple polling requests are failing. This happens when either XSP is shut down or there is connectivity issue between XSP and Client. This is now fixed. After the fix the client does not poll continuously when there are multiple serial failures. The Client will schedule the next polling based on the following algorithm: Next Polling Request Schedule = (Polling Delay Time x Polling Retry Count) EV 223430: QUICK MONITORING & PULL OUT BEHAVIOR When the user logged into the Receptionist client application and the Receptionist user makes a search in any directory which is having less than 10 results. The results of the searched contacts are quick monitored and click on the pop out (pull out) icon. After this click, it will show the searched contacts in the directory with the monitoring status properly. But the search is not reset and the original results are not shown on the respective directory when the users go back to the corresponding directory. This is now fixed. EV 225498: DEPLOYMENT STUDIO PROFILE DEPLOYMENT SCOPE TO INCLUDE PROVISIONING ADMINISTRATOR Currently, only System Admin, Enterprise Admin, and Group Admins can deploy a custom profile using Deployment Studio. Due to a defect, it was possible that the Subscriptions would get terminated by the Application Server triggering a new Subscription to be initiated by the Client. When this occurs, it is possible for the Client view 3 Mitel
of the monitored contacts as well as the queue to get out of synch with the Application Server view of the status. This is now fixed. EV 202465: THIN CLIENT RECEPTIONIST LOCALE CHANGE TO SUPPORT LANGUAGE ONLY OPTION The option to synchronize language with the user profile has been altered to allow the language to be synchronized using only the first two characters of the locale code (the language of the locale) ignoring the region of the locale. This feature is off by default and can be set only via Deployment Studio. This setting can be found on the Localization section of Deployment Studio below the Synchronize language with service profile setting and is titled Ignore region when synching language. RELEASE 20.0.28 EV 230221: R19 CALL PARK RETRIEVE DOES NOT UPDATE USER STATUS IN RECEPTIONIST CLIENT When the receptionist parks a call, the user that picks up the parked call does not have their status updated to busy within the client. This is now fixed. EV 231086: DIFFERENT CALL HANDLING WHEN REJECTING PERSONAL CALL FROM APPLICATION OR DEVICE When a user presses END in the application on an incoming direct call, the call is not visible in the application any more but the caller still hears the phone ringing. This is now fixed. This will be configurable from CLI. A new parameter declinecallimmediately is introduced in the CLI which will control this behavior. XSP_CLI/Applications/<Client Version> General: declinecallimmediately: {true or false} Default is False. 1. After the fix the default behavior will be the current behavior. When a call is decline from Terminator the call will not be immediately sent to Temporarily Unavailable processing. 2. When configured from CLI: value is set to True. When a Terminator will End a call from the Client Application, the Call will be immediately sent to Temporarily Unavailable processing. RELEASE 20.0.29 EV 216287: EXCEPTION WHEN SPEED DIAL CODE IS CHANGED AND SPEED DIAL ENTRY IS ADDED The end user is not able to add the speed dial contact if the speed dial prefix is modified from CommPilot after user has already logged into the client. This is now fixed. EV 221992: TRANSFERRING TO BAD NUMBER (MISSING OAC) MESSAGE MISLEADING When your system requires an Outside Access Code to dial an outside line, and you do not include that access code when transferring the call, the error message was misleading and confusing. EV 222779: BW THIN CLIENT RECEPTIONIST 19.0.23 CALENDAR INTEGRATION If the settings for this feature are not configured server side it displays an error message to the user at a regular interval. Since the client has no way of seeing the group setting at the user level we can t prevent this, but we added a CLI parameter to suppress the error message. The fix is to configure the feature correctly server side before using it in the client. EV 232637: HIGH CPU USAGE A concurrency issue can occur when two supervisors performed a monitoring action on the same user at the same time. This has been fixed by using a different method that is meant for concurrency for accessing the data. EV 236175: RECEPTIONIST THIN CLIENT SEND TO VM NOT WORKING ON POPUP IN R20 Clicking the Send to VM icon in the incoming call notification window does nothing. This is now fixed. After the fix, call is transferred to the voice mail after clicking the Send to VM icon. EV 233945: ERROR WHILE DIALING OUT WITH RECEPTIONIST JAVA.LANG.NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION A null FAC would cause a NullPointerException when dialing out. This is now fixed. EV 235140: RECEPTIONIST USER SETTINGS CACHE BEHAVIOR There were two cases where the user settings from a previous session would not be loaded on the next login. 1. If the user did not logout of the client (browser crash, network disconnect, closed the browser without logging out, etc.) the settings are not uploaded like they would be during a normal logout. This is a limitation and cannot be fixed. 2. The user settings are not retrieved from server even if it is uploaded properly from another XSP in cluster. The second of the two issues is fixed. The user settings file will be retrieved from the AS upon login regardless of which XSP is used. RELEASE 20.0.30 EV 237567: WITH PATCH 187391 THE XSI WAS EXTENDED WITH RECALL FROMPARTY, WHICH VERSION RECEPTIONIST SUPPORTS IT? USER INTERFACE CHANGES Refer to the user guide for detailed information on the diagnostic tool. KNOWN ISSUES This section lists restrictions and limitations of the Receptionist client. The client application is dependent on the web browser, and some of these restrictions are due to the limitations of the web browser applications. When using the Chrome browser, the Email Support link that is added as part of the EV232627 Client Side Diagnostic Tool may open an untitled tab when it is clicked, in addition to the default mailto protocol handler defined on the PC. The Email Support link is a mailto URL and this issue can occur if the Chrome browser attempts to handle the mailto URL even if another default mail protocol handler is defined on the PC. In Firefox, the window running Receptionist does not focus on incoming calls. Receptionist must be the only tab when running in Internet Explorer. Otherwise the focusing window on incoming calls and Call Notification pop-up toasts do not work. The browser window running Receptionist should be at least 800 x 600 pixels in size. The changes to the Receptionist profile (DSI) made using Deployment Studio may not take affect if the PC from which the new profile is uploaded has an earlier date and time than the Xtended Services 8 Mitel
o o o Platform. To make sure that the new profile becomes operational, you must upload it later than the time of your last login to the Xtended Services Platform plus the time difference between the Xtended Services Platform and the DSI system (if the Xtended Services Platform s date and time is ahead of the DSI system s date and time). Due to technical limitations of Internet Explorer, workspace preferences work only in Firefox. When using the Firefox browser with plug-ins enabled, the following exception message may appear in the Java Console window if the application is reloaded (that is, the browser process terminates and is restarted). This does not cause any errors in the application and can be ignored: java.lang.classnotfoundexception: dummy at sun.plugin2.applet.applet2classloader.findclass(unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.plugin2classloader.loadclass0(unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.plugin2classloader.loadclass(unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.plugin2classloader.loadclass(unknown Source) at java.lang.classloader.loadclass(unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.plugin2classloader.loadcode(unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.plugin2manager.createapplet(unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.plugin2manager$appletexecutionrunnable.run(unknown Source) at java.lang.thread.run(unknown Source) The maximum number of calls that can be displayed for each queue in the Queued Calls pane with no performance impacts varies depending on the web browser. In Internet Explorer 8, the maximum number is 50 calls. In Safari 5.0, Firefox (all supported versions), and Internet Explorer 9, the maximum number is 100 calls. If more calls are in a queue than the specified maximum, the client application performance is impacted, some calls may not be displayed, and/or some queue functionality may become inoperable. In Firefox 3.6.19 on Macintosh, when the user presses ENTER instead of the Sign In button to sign in to Receptionist, a blank page appears.
