The Reliance Infrastructure Limited Transmission Business (RInfra-T) has filed a Petition for approval of Business Plan for the period FY 2011-12 to FY 2015-16 before the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission under Regulation 7.1 of MERC (Multi Year Tariff ) Regulations 2011 and in accordance with the direction of the Commission in Order in Case 45 of 2011. The Commission has admitted the Petition on Thursday, 21 June, 2012 and directed RInfra-T to publish a Public Notice containing the summary of the Petition. 2. RInfra-T was granted a Transmission license by the Commission through Transmission License 1 of 2011 for a period of 25 years w.e.f. August 16, 2011. 3. The Transmission System of RInfra-T broadly constitutes Transmission Lines, 220 kv Station Equipments, Buildings, Testing Equipments, etc. The RInfra-T network is connected to the transmission network of Tata Power Company at Borivali and to the network of Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) at Boisar and Borivali. The present structure of the transmission network consists of 220 kv overhead lines measuring up to 500 ckt-kms as of March 31, 2012. The network also consists of lines for evacuation of DTPS power and connectivity between the EHV substations either directly with each other or through LILO arrangements. 4. In the Business Plan, RInfra-T has made submissions on Strategic Plan and Operational Plan of the company. The Strategic Plan comprises company profile, organisation structure, business overview (Operational and Financial), Vision and Mission statements, key actions to fulfil the vision and mission, human resource development plan, market assessment, SWOT analysis, risk analysis and risk mitigation plan, future business opportunities, environment policy and initiatives and other initiatives. The Operational Plan comprises
capital investment plan and element wise ARR estimates, the brief details of which are provided as follows. 6. 11. RInfra-T shall reply to each of the suggestions and objections received, within three days of the receipt of the same but not later than Tuesday, 7 August, 2012, for all the objections and comments/ suggestions received till Friday, 3 August, 2012. Stakeholders can submit their rejoinders on replies provided by RInfra-T either during the public hearing or latest by Monday, 13 August, 2012. 12.
