Getting Started - Overview 1. How to setup econtract user account(s). You ll need econtract logins to create contracts online. 2. How to create draft contracts and submit contracts to PWI. 3. Retail markup options. 1. How to Setup econtract User Account(s) The instructions below will help you setup your econtract user account(s). You can return to these administrative pages at anytime to create, modify or remove user accounts for your dealership. 1.1. Login to your Dealer Home Page. 1.1.1. Go to www.warrantys.com 1.1.2. Click on DEALERS link on web page menu (top of page). 1.1.3. Click on DEALER LOG IN on Dealer Web Page s menu (left side of page) 1.1.4. Click on Dealer Log In (middle of web page) 1.1.5. Log in using your phone number and password. Click on the Online Contract Entry link. See Figure 1-1. This link will take you to the Welcome to Online Contract Entry Admin Home Page. 1.2. Click on the User Admin link to manage the user accounts. The page will only show your accounts that have been created for your dealership. 1.3. Click on New User link to create a new user. You may also use the additional links to edit or remove existing user accounts. Figure 1-2 Click to create a new user. 1.4. Enter Login Information for each user. See Figure 1-3 below. All fields with a red asterisk are required fields. The username and password entered here will be used to enter actual contracts. Figure 1-3 Edit this user s profile Delete this user Passwords must be at least 4 characters. For dealership groups, please select the location where this user usually will work at. Only one choice shows for non groups. 1.5. Click on the Logout link when you have completed entering new users. Page 2
2. How to Create Draft Contracts and Submit Contracts to PWI. Employees within your dealership are now ready to start entering contracts online. Each user within your dealership will log in using their own individual username and password established in the previous section. 2.1. Login into the econtract system. 2.1.1. Enter web address http://www.warrantys.com/econtract (login page will be displayed). 2.1.2. (Or) Click on the econtract link on PWI s Web Site s home page. 2.1.3. Enter Username and Password to login. 2.2. Creating a Draft contract. 2.2.1. In Figure 2-1, you ll see several options in the left hand column. There are options to edit any saved Drafts, as well as, view Contracts already submitted to PWI. Figure 2-1 Link to enter contract 2.2.2. Click on New Contract link to create a new Draft. Page 3
2.2.3. Enter the vehicle information on the Vehicle Info page. Then click on Get Plans. See Figure 2-2 below. Figure 2-2 Required to select Premier Wrap plans. 2.2.4. Select a coverage plan and any optional surcharges from the Plan Info page (see below). Retail price markups are also available to present plan options to customers (see Section 3 for details on markup processing). 2.2.5. Enter the customer s information, the vehicle sales price, and the lien holder information. Then click Continue which will display the confirmation page. Figure 2-4 Do not use dollar sign in price field! 2.2.6. On the Confirmation page, you can save as a Draft or click Save & Send to submit the agreement to PWI. 2.3. Submitting Contracts to Preferred Warranties. Contracts are submitted to Preferred Warranties only after you have validated the accuracy of the customer s information and plan selection. After submitting the contract, you must still remit payment and a copy of the signed agreement to PWI. Submitting the contract is the equivalent of faxing a normal agreement. Once you submit the agreement, you will no longer be able to alter any information on the agreement. Any corrections will need to be handled by calling PWI s Dealer Services. 2.3.1. Method 1 You can submit agreements while editing a draft by clicking Save & Send on the Confirmation page as outlined in 2.2.6. 2.3.2. Method 2 You can submit agreements directly from the listing of saved drafts (See Figure 2-6.) Simply click Send on any Draft to submit the agreement to PWI. Figure 2-6 Sent contract to PWI a Page 6
3. Retail Markup Options. You have the option to use econtract as a selling tool with customers. The markup options are not clear on the screen purposely to avoid customers recognizing that the pricing has been marked up. 3.1. Switching between Wholesale and Retail pricing. 3.1.1. While on the Plan Info page of a Draft, a W or R M appears under the dealership name. The W indicates that wholesale prices are currently visible and when R M is present that indicates that the screen reflects retail prices. The images in Figure 3-1 are examples of this. 3.1.2. To switch back and forth between Retail and Wholesale you must click on the R (Retail) or W (Wholesale). Figure 3-1 3.2. Changing the Retail Prices. 3.2.1. When the R M is showing, clicking on the M will show or hide the box to markup the pricing. See the right-hand image in Figure 3-1. 3.2.2. Using a fixed dollar amount to markup pricing To markup all prices by $100, simply enter 100 in the box below R M. Then, click on the $ to the left of the box. $100 will be added to the wholesale price of each plan to display retail prices. 3.2.3. Marking up pricing by a percentage To markup all prices by 50%, simply enter 50 in the box below R M. Then, click on the % to the right of the box. Retail prices will show a 50% increase over the wholesale price. Page 7
