APPENDIX A RELEASE NOTE HISTORY WOS 8.1.x WOS 8.1.0 New Features Improved reliability and performance by performing Access Points discovery and configuration over Web Sockets. WOS comes with VMware Tools pre-installed. Discovery allows you to select device types for scanning. Reference Resolved Issue 11736 Network discovery did not discover x.x.x.255 address for a network of larger than class C. 22790 23094 26840 26874 26891 After pushing a profile onto arrays, non-critical values such as Array Administrative Contacts and Management Control Setting values would occasionally not be reflected on the arrays. On occasion, using profiles to push the email settings for the System Log Alert function in the arrays, it would result in the email password getting cleared. WOS was reporting a failure when upgrading from AOS 7.6.1 to AOS 8.1.4, despite upgrade being successful. Changing Static IP address to DHCP caused configuration failure for the AOS device if DHCP assigned a new IP address to the AP while configuration changes are in progress. DAS Port configuration for the WAP9144 model did not display correctly in the UI after configuration push until refresh (despite configuration push being successful). 26900 In AOS Lite, AP Switch Secondary Radius would not clear. 27128 WOS didn t configure QoS settings for SSIDs. 27451 30928 Discovering an Access Point with an IP address which is the same as an existing offline Access Point IP address through auto-discovery, showed two different access points with the same IP address. The User personal SSID would get deleted from the access point when trying to update to a different SSID from an AOS Profile. Avaya Inc - External Distribution 10

Reference 26966 31586 31643 Known Issue Duplicate Access point entries are displayed when the name of Profiles or AP groups are differentiated only by underscored ( _ ) and a white space For an upgraded system, when Avaya Roaming Mode is Off under Radios -> Global Settings and Avaya Roaming in any SSID is not Off prior to upgrade to 8.1, the admin will see the message 'General Settings - You need to enable Avaya Roaming Mode in Radio Global Settings before you can change SSID Avaya Roaming Layer.' If you see this message, please turn off Avaya Roaming under SSIDs. WOS callback IP address change, requires the reboot of AOS access points to avoid timeouts when configurations are sent to the access points. Avaya Inc - External Distribution 11
