Connect the supplied RJ45 Ethernet cable from one of the Ethernet Ports on the back of the device to your computer. 2. Connect the supplied power adapter to your router and press the on/off button to power the router on. 3. Allow 60 90 seconds for the NF15ACV to power up. 4. Open a web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc) and type http://192.168.20.1 into the address bar and press Enter. 5. At the login screen, type admin into both the Username and the Password fields and click OK. 6. Select Admin and then Firmware Upgrade from the menu on the left side of the screen 7. Select Browse / Choose File to locate and load the firmware file (NF15ACV_v1.2.42_NET736_FW vm.img). 3
8. Click Upgrade to proceed, then click OK on the pop-up dialog box. The process will take a few minutes until the router reboots itself. 9. When the upgrade is complete, refresh the webpage. The router status page is displayed. Make sure the current firmware is NF15ACV_v1.2.42_NET736. Note: You must reset the router to the default settings after the firmware upgrade to ensure that it functions correctly. 10. Using the menu on the left side of the screen, select Admin, then Backup / Restore. Next to Reset Settings to Default, click the Reset button. 4
11. Click the OK button on the pop-up dialog box. The router reboots with the factory default settings. The firmware upgrade is complete. Note: We recommend that you change the administrator password on the device to a strong one. To create a strong password, consider using a minimum of 8 characters, a combination of upper and lower case characters, and numbers. 5
