AG01 Run Quick Guide V1.0 1.0 Introduction The AG01 RUN is a simple software that helps you to manage your workout activities in the computer. When this software is successfully installed, you may read your workout history, track logs from the GPS watch in just a few clicks. Communication between the watch and PC is done through the dedicated USB clip cable which comes with the GPS watch. 1.1 Features: Supports multi users when you share a single or multiple watches Shows workout data graphically Shows workout path in Google map Easy to use workout history in hierarchy Tracks can be transferred to your friends electronically so that they can follow and share your wonderful experience. 1.2 Create Users and Login to the AG01 RUN When you use the AG01 RUN for the first time, you will see the following screen: When you want to change the database location other than the default one, you may do so in the "Data Path" box. The user database is empty after the first time installation. You have to create a new user(s) in order to use this software. If you have more than one user, you can add as many as you wish. Just click the "Add" button and give it a name in the "User Name" box. If you forget to add the additional users, you still can do that afterwards in the User menu. After you have finished adding users, select the user you want to work on, and then click the "Login" button. 1.3 Operation Environment Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista SP2, Windows7, Windows8, above Mac OS X10.7 Hardware environment appropriate for the above operating system. Graphic adapter and display with at least SVGA (800 600) resolution. At least 200 megabytes of hard disk space free. Mouse.
2.0 Operating Instructions AG01 RUN Screen Layout The main screen is divided into 6 sections: Menu bar Calendar Workout List Summary (of selected workout) Map view Graphical view of the logged data 2.0.1 Menu Bar Please refer to section 2.1 to 2.6 for detailed description.
2.0.2 Calendar Provide simple daily workout pattern information. Click on the calendar, Workout of that day will be shown in Workout List. Pink color indicates it has workout in that day. Red color indicates the selected day. 2.0.3 Workout List Manage the workout and easy to select the workout for more information. Click one the workout to show details on summary, map view and graphical view of logged data Memo can be inputted on the right of time stamp. Delete Workout: Right click on the workout, it will show Delete Workout file ; then click Yes to confirm or No to cancel 2.0.5 Summary Summary of workout is shown at the left-bottom of the screen. Information includes Start Time, Total Workout Time, No. of Laps, Total Distance, Average Pace, Average Speed, Max. Speed, Total Calorie.
2.0.6 Map View Workout path will be shown on the Map area when the selected workout has GPS data. Note : Internet connection is required for showing Google Map. 2.0.7 Graphical View Data types - Speed, Pace and Distance would be plotted automatically against time.
Double click the lower part legend, a pop-up window will appear for you to select the display on the graphic. 2.0.7 Workout Report Double click on the Year, Month, Week, Day and Workout. A report window will automatic pop out. Time, Total Distance, Avg. Speed, Max Speed, Total Calories etc will show in the pop up window. The report summary can be exported in.csv format by clicking Save button 2.1 File
You can use IMPORT or EXPORT workout log function here. All workout logs are stored in the directory specified by the Data Path. Data path can be changed in the User Switch User. This software supports AG01 RUN format (.tkl) for workouts where file names are derived by its date and time stamp. For example, when a workout is logged at 20:26:08 on Jan 7, 2015 with GPS data, the corresponding file name will be "20150107202608.tkl" after it is transferred into the PC. 2.1.1 File Import Reads a WORKOUT file and places it into the database of the current user. In order to save the file to a proper location in the database, the file name should follow the naming convention described above. If the memo file of the WORKOUT is placed at the same location, it will import together. 2.1.2 File Export Save the selected WORKOUT in either AG01 RUN format (.tkl) or other file formats supported by other popular softwares. The AG01 RUN can export :.kml - supported by Google Earth.gpx - GPX (the GPS exchange Format) is a small-size XML data format for the exchange of GPS data (waypoints, routes, and tracks) between applications and web services on the Internet..nmea - The National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) has developed a specification that defines the interface among different types of marine electronic equipment. The standard permits marine electronic equipment to send information to computers and different types of marine equipment. Most GPS devices support NMEA file format..csv - A comma-separated values (CSV) file is used for storing data structured in the form of a table. Each line in the CSV file corresponds to a record in the table which represents each row of the table. Each field of the records is separated by commas or other separators which represents each column of the table. You may import the.csv file into Excel spreadsheet directly. 2.1.3 File Print Save a hard copy of a Map view Graphical View and Summary. 2.1.4 File Exit Close the AG01 RUN application 2.2 User 2.2.1 User Add Create a new database structure for a new user 2.2.2 User Switch user Log-in to a different user.
2.3 Data Transfer 2.3.1 Data Transfer Receive watch data Before you transferring the watch data to software, please make sure that the USB cable has been plugged into the PC and the clip has been attached to the watch correctly and securely. Then select Data transfer on the menu bar and click Receive watch data or Data Received above the Calendar. Once everything is done, data transmission will be completed in a couple of minutes. Browsing around workout information in the AG01 RUN is simple. Imported items are placed in Calendar. Just click the day and workout as you are interested in the Workout List, the associated summary information will be shown in the Summary section. If the track log is available, the track data can be viewed from Google Map immediately. Meanwhile, the graphical charts are plotted on the right.
2.4 Setting 2.4.1 Setting Watch Configuration a. Run Setting The Watch provide 1 activity profile which provide 3 views with 2 data lines. Users may create any combination and review their performance easily. Profile Setting can be done in the watch or it can be manipulated in the PC more easily. Transferring profiles to and from the PC only takes a few seconds. b. Weight User weight can be set here. c. Time Adjustment Time format can be set here, and the time will automatic synchronize with the computer Press "Read setting from watch" button to read all workout view configurations from the watch. Press "Write setting to watch" button to write all workout view settings to the watch. Reset view settings to factory default by pressing "Reset to default" button.
2.4.2 Setting Option a. Data transfer Auto-clear memory If this option is activated, the workout history in the watch will be cleared after data transfer has been done. b. Language The AG01 RUN allows the user to change the Language of the program. There are English or Japanese can be selected. When user change the Language, the program must to be restarted for effect. c. Unit The AG01 RUN allows the user to change the Unit of the program. There are km/kg or mile/lb can be selected.
2.5 Update 2.5.1 Update Watch Firmware update (Optional) The watch firmware will be released from time to time. Connect the USB clip cable with the watch and press "Check now" button to check if the latest watch firmware is available. The AG01 RUN will compare the watch firmware version with the latest version in the server. When a new watch firmware is available, the following screen will appear. Press "Yes" button to download it and update to the watch. Note : All the data will be ERASED during the watch firmware updating process. To back up your workout and paths, please refer to section 2.3 for Data Transfer guideline. After the watch firmware has been downloaded to the watch, the updating process is done by the watch itself. You cannot use the watch until the connection icon appears on the watch again.

3.0 Troubleshooting and FAQ 1. It shows "Open virtual COM port error" / "No virtual COM port is found" when I receive the watch data. Solution : a. Please check if the USB driver is installed or not. For Mac OSX: Select "Launchpad Utilities System Information Hardware USB". Expand "USB High-Speed Bus" in the USB Device Tree. Please check if the Silicon Laboratories "CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller" is installed. If the driver is installed properly, it will show as follows:
For Windows: Select "Start" "Control Panel" "System" "Hardware" "Device Manager" "Com and LPT". Please check if the Silicon Laboratories "CP210x USB to UART Bridge" is installed. If the driver is installed properly, it will show as follows: b. Please make sure USB clip cable has been plugged into the PC and the clip has been attached to the watch correctly and securely. c. Make sure ONLY ONE "AG01 RUN" software is running. Do not run more than one copy of the "AG01 RUN" software in the PC. 2. It shows "Error in communicating with watch!" when I receive the watch data. Solution : a. Please make sure that the USB clip cable has been plugged into the PC and the clip has been attached to the watch correctly and securely. Once the watch and PC are connected, the "Connected icon" will be shown on the screen of the watch.
