Geometry 1 Vocabulary side triangle angle shortest side Notes Note that in a triangle, the shortest side is always opposite the smallest angle and vice versa. Similarly, the longest side is opposite the largest angle and vice versa. The sum of the angles of a triangle is 180. There are three ways to name the sides of a triangle. Geometry 3 Vocabulary complementary angles supplementary angles Notes For #2, as a kinesthetic activity, students could work together to form complementary or supplementary angles with their arms. Possible answers: Complementary angles add to 90 while supplementary angles add to 180. For example, 30 and 60 are complementary while 30 and 150 are supplementary. 8F-3
