Tool Bar You can change your Toolbar. Right click on the Toolbar. Drag any item you don t want on your Toolbar to Customize Toolbar block. Drag any item you do want on your Toolbar up to your Toolbar. 4

Change Fonts and Color of Fonts Click on the to open the Text Box. Click on the font of choice. Next click on the note book screen and begin typing. You change the font and color just like in Word. To get out of the text box click on the in the tool bar. All work just like Word. Save, Save as, Cut, Copy and Paste 5

You can change the default font. First click on the Text box. Next click on the font you wish to change. Setting a Default Font Click on the Property tool. Click on Text Style Click on Font drop down and click on the font you want. Then choose the Size and font style you want. Now click on Line Style and choose the color you want the font to be. Finally to get notebook to remember the font click Save Text Properties. The font you have chosen is now the default font for that text box until you change it. 6

Insert Pictures 3 Ways Picture File Click on Insert from top. Then click on Picture File. Navigate to your picture as you would in Word. Gallery You can also add a picture by going to the Gallery. Click on Lesson Activity Toolkit 2.0 Now click on Pictures and Backgrounds. Find the picture you want. Click on it and drag it to your page. 7

The Final Way to Add a Picture is to use the Camera Click on the. The camera box will show up on the page. Go to the page you wish to put onto the notebook page. You will see that the camera box will be on that page. Click on the camera. A + sign will show up. Click and drag on the part of the page you wish to add to the notebook page. (As if you were cropping a picture.) When you release the mouse the page will pop up on your notebook page. You can use this on the entire page or on just a small part of the page. 8

Grouping Objects To group a group of object so they can be moved as one. Start with 2 objects. Click outside the objects and drag across the objects you wish to group together. You should now have boxes around the objects. Click the drop down arrow, click on Grouping and Group. 1 2 3 You should now have only one box 4 around the objects. To ungroup the objects, Repeat the steps but this time clicks on ungroup. 9

Order Objects At times you will need to reorder objects you have placed on a notebook page. As you can see the check is in front of the star. To put the check behind the star, First click on the check. This will put a box around the check. Click on the drop down arrow. Click on Order then Send to Back. The star is now in front of the check. 10

How to Clone An Object (Copy A Object) Cloning an object or page is the same as coping an object or page. First to clone an object: Click on the object you wish to clone. Click on the drop down arrow. Click on Clone. You now have two checks. At times you will want to copy the same object over and over again. For example if you want to clone a coin many times to make different amounts of money. You can create an Infinite Clone. Follow the same directions as above only this time click on Infinite Cloner. You can now drag as many pennies as you want. 11

How to Clone a Page (Copy a Page) First click on the page icon on the side. Click on the drop down arrow for the page. Click on Clone Page. You now have two of the same page. You can use this if you are teaching the same lesson to more than one class. Save your original and create a clone for each of your classes. 12
