1. Overview This solution leverages Pearson VUE s Integrated Internet-Based Testing (IBT) platform that is used in the commercial channel into the Certiport Academic channel. The existing Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) solution is being enhanced to be cloud ready and delivered in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. This is built on top of the new remote lab solution that was implemented recently by partnering with Xtreme Tech and ITS. Symbols in this document Actions performed by the candidate. Minimum Technical Specifications An exam delivery workstation must meet the following minimum specifications to deliver an MOS in the Cloud exam: Support Operating Systems: Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 Internet Browser: Internet Explorer 10+, Google Chrome 39+, Firefox 18+.NET 3.5 or later Screen resolution: 1280 x 1024 (and above) Network Bandwidth: 256 KBps per user Ports: TCP Port 80 and 443 open with inbound / outbound access to the internet Certiport Confidential MOS in Cloud Proctor Guide 3
2. Download and run the Secure Browser Note Prior to launching the secure browser, candidates must ensure they have a Certiport account and they must know their login credentials to proceed with the MOS in the Cloud proof of concept. Proctors will receive an email from Pearson VUE that contains a link to launch the secure browser. Proctors must launch the secure browser on each exam delivery workstation. 1. Proctor opens Pearson VUE email with link to secure browser. 2. Proctor clicks the secure browser link. 3. Proctor Downloads the secure browser. 4. Proctor Runs the executable. 5. 6. Proctor selects their test center from the Select your test center drop-down list and clicks Launch Exam. Note Test centers are listed by test center name and center ID. Make sure you select the correct test center from the list. 7. Proctor clicks Yes to confirm the test center selection. The virtual machine prepares to launch. 3. Candidate Registers for Exam 1. Candidate enters Certiport Username and Password in Console login screen and clicks the the Enter key on the keyboard. right arrow button or hits Note If the student has already registered at Certiport as a candidate, they do not need to register again. 2. 5. Candidate clicks 2016 Suite. 6. Candidate selects the Product (for example, Word, Excel, etc.) Note If the candidate sees Products not available, click the Back button and then click the 2016 Suite again and the products should now be available. 7. Candidate verifies mailing address and clicks the right arrow next to verify my mailing address. 8. Candidate clicks the right arrow next to Read and accept the terms of the NDA, reads the Non-Disclosure Agreement and clicks Yes, I accept. 10 MOS in Cloud Proctor Guide Certiport Confidential
9. Candidate clicks the right arrow next to Register to take the selected exam. Candidate clicks Use my Certiport profile data button to fill in the form and clicks Submit. 4. Proctor Enters Payment and Logs In 1. Proctor clicks the Edit button for Payment Method. 2. If you are using your own inventory, Proctors do not need to select the Payment Method and can skip to step 4 below. Otherwise proceed to step 3, Payment Method. 3. If you are using Vouchers, Proctor selects Payment Method from the drop-down list, enters the voucher information and clicks OK. Use your own inventory/license for this proof of concept. 4. Proctor selects As Proctor, I have verified this candidate s ID and exam information, enters Proctor Username and Password and clicks right arrow button. Certiport Confidential MOS in Cloud Proctor Guide 13
5. Candidate Completes Exam 1. Candidate clicks the right arrow button to launch the exam if their system meets all the requirements. 2. Candidate proceeds through the tutorial and the exam. 14 MOS in Cloud Proctor Guide Certiport Confidential

Console uploads the exam results for scoring. 5. Candidate views their immediate score on Console. 6. Candidate may view the official score report.
