These are provided via GMetrix; a specialist online system that closely simulates the MOS exam experience. As with the exam itself, the practice tests use the actual Office 2010 application (eg Word 2010, Excel 2010 etc) so you will first need to have Office 2010 on your PC. You can use the practice tests with a choice of testing or training modes. These are further explained in this guide. Please note that the GMetrix system is not provided or supported through learndirect. It is an entirely separate online service. To access the practice tests, you will need to follow the instructions below to download the software and register an account with GMetrix. It should take just a few minutes to get up and running. In the event that you experience any issues, a troubleshooting and technical support guide is provided at the end of this document. Once you have installed the GMetrix software and used your activation key (contained in the email from learndirect), you will be able to login to the practice tests up to 100 times within 12 months of your initial purchase. When you take a practice test, you will be able to choose from several banks of questions. NOTE You must close all applications for the version of the Office application for which you are taking the practice test: e.g. Word 2010, Excel 2010 etc.
