Release Notes Drive Software Wizards Version 3.10 This release notes describes major version 3, minor version 10 of drive software wizards for Connected Components Workbench software (v1.02 and later), DriveTools SP software (version 4.01 and later) and RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles software (version 1.00 and later). Wizards version 3.10 and later are no longer tested or guaranteed to work with DriveExplorer software.
3 Determining the Wizard Version Level This section describes the procedures to determine the version of your drive software wizards. Run Connected Components Workbench, DriveExecutive, or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and connect to a drive online, or run Connected Components Workbench, DriveExecutive, or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and open a saved drive configuration offline. Launch any available wizard and view the version on the start-up window. Installing the New Version This section describes the procedure for installing the new version of drive software wizards. 1. Run the version 3.10 installation file. 2. Verify the wizard version (see section below).
4 Verifying the Wizard Version Run Connected Components Workbench, DriveExecutive, or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and connect to a drive online, or run Connected Components Workbench, DriveExecutive, or RSLogix 5000 Drive Add-On Profiles and open a saved drive configuration offline. Launch any available wizard and view the version label on the start-up window. It should be 3.10.x (ignore the right-most digit). Enhancements The following enhancement was made in this version of drive software. New PowerFlex 523 Startup Wizard The new PowerFlex 523 Startup wizard is available in this drive software version. Corrected Anomalies There are no corrected anomalies in this version of drive software.
5 Restrictions The following restrictions apply to this version of drive software wizards: DriveExplorer software was discontinued in September, 2012 and was replaced with Connect Components Workbench software when using PowerFlex drives. Drive software wizards version 3.10 and later are no longer tested or guaranteed to work with DriveExplorer software. Drive software wizards (version 1.2) were introduced with the launch of DriveTools SP version 4.01. Earlier versions of DriveTools SP software does not support wizards. Some wizards are only compatible with Connected Components Workbench version 1.02, DriveTools version 5.01, and Drives AOP version 2.01 or later. Please refer to the restrictions noted in the footnotes of Table 1 on page 2.
