1. General Specification 1.1 Description WP-300, one station impact printer, is applied to receipt printer, fiscal printer, computer peripheral and etc. 1.2 Characteristics (1). 4. Operation 4.1 Connecting Power Supply (1) Confirm the power is off. (2) Plug power supply into power supply outlet. (3) Pin assignment as following Pin Number Description 1 +24VDC 2 GND 3 NC Shell Frame GND 4.2 Connecting Cash Drawer (1) Confirm the power is off. (2) Prepare RJ11 phone jack as right picture. (3) Plug RJ11 phone jack into cash drawer terminal. Caution: The cash drawer specification must be +24VDC. If not for +24VDC, it may cause some damages. - 5 -
4.3 Installing Ribbon Cassette (1) Turn off the power before installing ribbon cassette. (2) Turn knob clockwise for 2 to 3 times to tension the ribbon. Turn knob clockwise for 2-3 times Holder Knob (3) Pass ribbon between the ribbon mask and the mechanism head. Then push ribbon cassette down. (4) Turn knob for 2 to 3 times again to tension the ribbon. Caution: Please use CITIZEN ribbon cassette (model No: NH37701) - 6 -
4.4 Installing Paper Roll (1) Turn on the power and open the cover of printer. (2) Tear off the sticker from new paper roll, and set new paper roll to the direction as below picture. (3) Then put the new paper roll on the paper holder. (4) Pull out the paper to the paper entrance, when the sensor recognizes the paper. It will feed paper automatically. (5) Push feed button let paper out from the tear bar. - 7 -
(6) Tear off the last paper. Installing paper roll complete. (7) Close the cover. Caution: thickness of paper less than 0.06-0.10 mm. Diameter is not in excess of 80mm. - 8 -
5. Control Panel 5.1 Basic Operation (1) LF : Paper feed button Pressing this button one time feeds one line (1/6 inch). Continually pressing this button feeds paper forward until releasing the button. (2) BF : Paper back Button (3) Pressing this button one time get back one line (1/6 inch). Continually pressing this button keep paper backward until releasing the button. (4) Power : Power Indicator (Green LED) Green light indicates power works properly. (5) Paper : Paper Indicator (Yellow LED) Continually bright indicates paper near end or paper end. Continually slow flashing indicates self-testing. (6) Error : Error Indicator (Red LED) 5.2 Status Red Light indicates paper end, paper jam, cutter-lock and printer head lock. 5.3 Test pattern operating procedure (1) Self-testing LF + Turn on the power (Turn on the power and press LF button simultaneously. It will produce sound Beep ). Self-testing will print out content of the version such as configure, font, status and etc as right picture. To end this function needs to turn off the power. (2) Hexadecimal-testing BF + Turn on the power (Turn on the power and press BF button simultaneously. It will produce sound Beep ). The transited data from computer to printer will be printed out as hex as right picture. This function will help you to check the accuracy of hex-data from computer system to the printer. To end this function needs to turn off the power. - 10 -

7. Interface Various interfaces are available for WP-300 such as RS232,Centronic, USB and etc.. 7.1 Replace Interface Turn off power before start replacing interface. Unlock screw and take interface out.
