Thailand Thailand Inventors Day The National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) is a governmental organization holding status ad a department under the command of the Prime Minister. NRCT acts as a key unit to give advice on nation development through research and development application. As well, its main function is to develop the country s research system by setting up the proposed strategies on promoting cooperation research work among national and international organizations, as well as promoting and supporting research, invention, innovation and technology transfer to industrial and business sectors. Taking responsibilities on promoting inventions, NRCT has cooperation with related organization to hold the Inventors Day being activated since 1995 up to the present. The Cabinet resolved on 10 May 1994, to declare 2 February of every year as the Inventors Day to commemorate the achievement of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Father of Thai Invention, in inventing the low speed surface aerator or the so-called Chaipattana Aerator. On 14 August 2001, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) has been assigned to be the leading agency, coordinating with other government agencies and the private sector to organise Inventors Day. Since then the Inventors Day Exhibition has been held to open floor to all Thailand international inventors and innovators in both governmental and the private sector to expose their inventions and innovations to share experience among themselves so that the fruitful commercialization and cooperation on research, invention and innovation created will be operated together effectively. Suitable poster size should be 90x120cm. Item/Service (Supplied free of charge) including 1 chair, 1 desk, carpeting, 1 name board, lights Electricity (220v. single phase, 60 Hz, 1 kw) Rules and Regulations This picture shows the example size of 2 booths - Each entry form (photocopies of the form are allowed) should contain information about only one invention. - Inventors must prepare a poster/invention to describe their products. - Inventions should be presented in the form of ready-made articles, prototype, samples, models, multimedia, pictures or brochures. - At least one person is required to man the booth at all times during exhibition hours. - The organizer reserves the right to change the size and layout of exhibition apace as necessary.
