Remote Deposit Capture (CC21) Software Installation Guide for Firefox or Internet Explorer Part 1 - UNINSTALL PREVIOUS APPLICATION AND SCANNER 1. Save any work you may have open on your PC 2. Be sure to log into workstation with credentials that have administrator permissions (permissions to be able to install software) 3. Completely disconnect your check image scanner from your PC 4. Using the Start button on your computer, navigate to Control Panel then to Programs a. b. Locate the scanner driver used by your previous check image scanner application c. Right click on the correct application and click Uninstall i. For Panini scanners, look for items with Panini, MyVisionX, VisionX, and/or ideal in the name. There may be two components in the list with these names if so, uninstall both ii. For Canon scanners, look for items with Canon and/or Ranger in the name. Part 2 - INSTALL NEW APPLICATION AND SCANNER **Adding CC21 to your Favorites and as a Trusted Site in your Web Browser** FOR INTERNET EXPLORER 1. Within Internet Explorer, enter the url https://cc21.datacenterinc.com/cc21/login.aspx a. Save this location as a Favorite and/or create a desktop shortcut b. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and choose Internet Options c. Navigate to the Security tab and select Trusted Sites icon (green check mark) d. Make sure the url listed above shows up in Add this website to the zone: box, then click Add e. FOR FIREFOX 1. Within Firefox, enter the url https://cc21.datacenterinc.com/cc21/login.aspx a. Save this location as a Favorite and/or create a desktop shortcut b. Click on the menu bar in the upper right corner and choose Options c. Click Security on the left hand sidebar, then click Exceptions d. Enter the url in the Address of website box and click Allow e. FOR GOOGLE CHROME 1. Within Chrome, enter the url https://cc21.datacenterinc.com/cc21/login.aspx a. Save this location as a Favorite and/or create a desktop shortcut b. Click on the control panel at the far right of your window (three vertical dots) and click Settings c. Scroll to the very bottom of the Settings page and click Show Advanced Settings d. Under the Network section, click Change proxy settings e. An Internet Properties box will pop up. Navigate to the Security tab f. Click on Trusted sites (green check mark icon) and then click the Sites button g. Make sure the CC21 url is entered into the Add this website to the zone: box h. Click Add and click Close i. **Accessing CC21 for First-time Login** 2. Close out and relaunch your browser (FOR BOTH EXPLORER, FIREFOX, AND CHROME) 2. Navigate back to https://cc21.datacenterinc.com/cc21/login.aspx through the Favorite you bookmarked in your browser, or launch the shortcut from your desktop 3. Enter the login credentials you have been provided a. Account ID = M#### (Bank will set up the Account ID for each merchant) b. User ID = current Online Banking username c. ID Password = Bank1234$ (*Do NOT change the password until after drivers are installed*) 4. Click Login 5. A Phone Factor Authentication message will display. Note the 4 digit PIN number at the end of the message. You will need to enter this PIN when prompted. 6. After noting the 4 digit PIN number, click Continue a. You will receive an automated call on the phone number your financial institution set up as your PhoneFactor authentication phone number. b. The automated voice will prompt you to enter the 4 digit PIN number followed by the pound # sign. Follow the instructions and enter the PIN and # on the keypad of your phone. c. You will then be auto-logged into CC21 and may hang up the phone 7. The first time you log on, you will be prompted with a list of questions and answers for you to select for added security if you need to call in for password resets, etc. Please complete this information and click Save. 8. You will then be taken to a new screen with two options: a. Continue or Install CC21 Client. 9. A prompt will appear at the bottom of your browser window asking if you want to Save Run or Cancel a. Click the dropdown arrow to the right of Save and choose Save As and save the file to a location on your PC that will be easy to remember b. After the file has been saved, navigate to the file, right click on it with your mouse, and select Run As Administrator 10. A Welcome screen will pop up. Please click Next 11. At the Ready to Install screen, please click Install 12. At the InstallShield Wizard Completed screen, please click Finish 13. Once the CC21 Client is installed, go back to your browser and now select Continue option on the blue window. INSTALL DRIVERS 1. The Main Menu screen includes three large buttons in the center of the screen, and also several menu options along the light blue strip near the upper part of the window a. From the top menu, select Settings and then Install Drivers b. A new window should open that will display the drivers for your specific scanner and the CC21 Client. i. Verify that the make of the scanner listed matches the brand your scanner. 1. *If you have a Canon scanner and the driver name says Canon, please contact your financial institution* 2. *You do NOT need to select the DCI CC21 Client program as this has been installed already through the steps listed above* c. If the scanner drive matches the brand of scanner you have, click Install i. You will be presented with a prompt to Run Save or Cancel ii. Click the dropdown arrow to the right of Save and choose Save As and save the file to a location on your PC that will be easy to remember iii. After the file has been saved, navigate to the file, right click on it with your mouse, and select Run As Administrator iv. Verify that the scanner is unplugged from your PC v. Navigate through the installation wizard for your scanner. The installation should proceed automatically and may take several minutes to complete vi. Once the installation is complete, log out of CC21, close your browser so everything is refreshed, and then proceed with logging back in. VERIFY YOUR INSTALLATION 1. When scanning your first deposit, check the lower right corner of the window within the CC21 Client a. Scanner Status should display as Ready to Scan b. If your Scanner Status continues to display Starting Scanner and will not switch to Ready to Scan like the example below, please contact your financial institution for assistance. INSTALLATION TROUBLESHOOTING If the prompt to install the CC21 file keeps prompting to run/save and you are using Internet Explorer as your browser: 1. Click the little black down arrow to the right of Save and chose Save 2. Note the name of the file 3. 4. Right click the file that just downloaded and uncheck the option labeled Always ask before opening this type of file. 5. Click the Open button to the right of the file and navigate through the installation Wizard to complete the install If the prompt to install the CC21 file keeps prompting to run/save and you are using Firefox as your browser: 6. Click Open 7. Select Open with and select CC21Client 8.
